Had a 3/4 year? old TP link homeplug die yesterday, first one in ages.
Tech refresh time!
Just bought 2 pairs to replace my current mix of 200 mbps plugs.
Need 2 cheap switches now for the tv bits downstairs and the games room upstairs...

Can you connect by wi-fi at the terminating end (where you want to extend the internet too / weak area)
Does any one know if this can pair with TP-link or any other brand poweline

I have a netgear powerline working with older tp link ones fine.. working within the same brand may provide more optimal transfer rates but they should be perfectly compatible otherwise

"Typical coverage of up to 500 square metres between adapters"
What a meaningless bit of twaddle. The ability to work on non-wifi powerline adapters depends on mains cable length (discounting wiring condition and electrical noise), not area. And it certainly won't work at 500m!

For many people that won't be an issue, it's no reason to vote cold.
