After months of rumours, Netflix has finally added offline viewing to its service.
The company today announced that it’s adding offline support for its iOS and Android apps for all of its members around the world.
According to Netflix, “many favourite streaming series and movies are already available for download, with more on the way.” Some of the content that’s ready to download includes Orange Is The New Black, Narcos and The Crown.
Downloadable content can be easily found via the new “Available for Download” category inside the app. When the option is available for an episode or movie, tap the download button like in the image below.
Can we transfer content to the SD card on Android?

Tip: Mexico is the cheapest country for Netflix.

Does that work?

Would not, purchasing an account from Mexico involve having to bypass the Geolocation for use in the UK?

Yes. I've been paying in Mexican Pesos for over a year now. Saved loads.

As good as this is, is it really a freebie when you have to play for it?

I reported it ages ago for not being free. Mod priviledge, perhaps. :P

Finally, what a great feature! This has been the thing that has set apart Amazon Prime Video from Netflix for a long time for me. Being able to watch Netflix TV/Movies whilst on long train or plane journeys makes the subscription fee totally worth it now IMO!

149 MXN for top package (4K). No VPN needed, just use Hola when signing up. Use Halifax Clarity or similar to avoid currency conversion charges. Last month's sub converted as £5.87. UK price £8.99.

Interesting... Does it then give you standard UK content?

Netflix give you content of your geo location so if in the UK then full UK content, if in the us full us content, it's not linked to your account billing

There MAY be a 'reason' for that ..... lol. :-(
Netflix is blatantly copying Amazon Prime Video in it's 'off-line' video playing mode mind?, hmmmmmmmm, oh well, lol

Well people, enjoy that aspect while you can I guess?.
If/as/when Trump fully comes into the equation, etc, that side of things may prove not so viable again?, so .....

Excellent, have a few plane and train journeys to go this month! I don't like the selection on Prime as much so this is great. Thanks for the heads up OP!

Whilst this is undoubtably good, why is it in freebies?

This is correct. Regardless of currency of Netflix subscription, content is always as per current location based on IP address. So, my Mexican sub gives me UK content here in the UK, unless I change my IP address via smart DNS or VPN to another country, such as USA, so in that case I would get USA content.
I'm only paying 149 MXN for Premium. Perhaps I'm on a legacy price.

£9 a month is a bargain. Especially as it allows 4 streams which I give to my family.

How does that work? You paid via a Mexican VPN and then from there on it renews automatically?
If that's how, it's a great deal. I'd totally be up to get that too since there's no "3 Months Netflix Deal" or so like PSN/XBL have. :disappointed:

Probably talking about multiple screen accounts where there are less users that. Available screens. U see them for sale etc on eBay every so often.
I think the 9.99 always 4 screens at once so quite a good deal to share with 4 people u trust.

Its an add-on to a service, the add-on is free. I suppose that is the logic. If you posted it in deals it would not be allowed as its just the standard price for Netflix so not a deal.

Its not a deal as standard price. Its not free as u pay and I'm not sure its suitable for misc.
Its good info for users though, I didn't know. So glad it's been posted someplace

I bought a lifetime netflix account on eBay for a fiver ...thought it would be a free code like the sky ones I've bought before. Turned out I was sent some guy in Americas login details who was on premium. Then it came out in press about thousands of accounts hacked so if something ever comes up you haven't watched in Netflix your details have been sold. Reported it twice but Netflix didn't seem to care.
