It's a really good game, it got a lot of hate at release but I genuinely enjoyed it from the off. It's got a great mix of the older style Need for Speed titles and works really well in my opinion.
On a different note, I'm a bit concerned regarding the trademarking of Need for Speed Arena, but we can only wait and see

Worth every penny! The amount of work this has had since launch is amazing. On Xbox the achievements jumped from 1000 to 2200, just shows how much more was added for free.
You then just switch to the account and access the store, which will be the Canadian one. Then switch back to your usual account after it's downloaded and you're good to go

Egads that does sound impressive! I bought Rivals a little while ago when it was on sale for a similar price, I guess I'll have to grab this one as well .

I personally thought Rivals was great until you finished it, then got bored, then didn't want to ever play it again. Rivals was a fine PS3/X360 title but it isn't even in the same league as this.

Aye? I mainly bought Rivals to play with my brother. Is the MP in this one (at least) as fun?

I wasn't a fan of Rivals but I didn't play it for very long.. it felt laggy and in the first 10 mins I somehow got stuck in the floor and couldn't get out.. I sold it and bought this version instead and I just finished it to get a Plat, enjoyed playing it, I would recommend it.. Weird thing is both games are from the same devs but I guess the couple of years inbetween they learned alot.

I just looked at that nowgamer guide which gives you a link to borderlinx to setup an account there, there's no Canadian address in My Suite Addresses on Borderlinx, have I missed something?
silvercondor

Those instructions are specifically for setting up a US account. Just Google a Canadian address like a McDonald's or whatever, and you're good to go.

Grab some credit from PCGameSupply? From memory, $20 will cost around £12.50. I believe most people use that conversion rate (i.e. whatever $20 costs at the time; obviously it fluctuates) when posting Canadian deals.

Ha been trying to do that too, there's an issue with the site at the moment... am I ever going to get this game on the cheap

Sometimes that site can have issues, but keep trying  The offer expires on the 22nd

This deal aside. Am i better of having a US PSN account or a Canadian one?

Canadian PSN is generally - though not always - cheaper. You can have both; use the Canadian and US accounts to grab digital bargains and play them on your UK account.

16 Nov 16#27
Surely you can only have one though as you need to set it as your primary console?
Marcoos
16 Nov 162#28
One console can have multiple accounts and those accounts can all set that console as their primary. Same with the Xbox One

Ok so I have finally managed to purchase $20 [CAN] PSN topup for £11.94 from pcgamesupply. Added funds to my [CAN] PSN account and purchased the game on that account. What now? Do I just sign in to my pspro with that account and begin download, then once downloaded can I sign in to my normal [UK] PSN and play the game?

Arrrgh I can't download the game via my UK account. Do I have to download it on the Canadian account? On top of that pcgamesupply charged me 3 times, the order I tried putting through yesterday actually came through today. Haven't had the best of luck with this.

I went on the PS store using my Canadian account, redeemed the $20 code and purchased the game. I then selected to download both parts of the game.
When the first download (20gb) was complete I started the second download while still using the Canadian account.
I then set the Canadian account as primary and started the game just to check it worked.
I then switched to my UK account and played the game.

Correct, you have to download it using your Canadian account. You can actually switch back to your UK account while it's downloading and play something else. Just make sure you switch accounts and not log out

OK cheers. Now downloading on [Can] account, they've refunded unused PSN cards too.
