The P9 Lite is better hardware on paper, but games aside, there's not much in it in head to head performance. the G4 is also stock Android I think, which counts for a lot in my book.

Would this be a good replacement for WileyFox Swift?
The specs look pretty similar.
Problem i have with the Swift is:
Battery very poor
Keeps rebooting so poor OS
Dual SIM, but can only use 3G in one SIM at a time. The link below states Moto G can use both, but does not specify which version of the G that is... presume its all versions?

LG G4 has common screen issues (had to return mine), but then the Moto G4 has screen ghosting problems too (a friend had to return his to tesco). Sony XA seems good but have a read of the amazon reviews first. I don't have first hand experience of that.

Wait for what? The price to go up?
You wont get a better UK warranty backed phone for £140. Some crappy dingdong s8 from gearbest for £38.69 might be better on paper, but you'll get no comeback, if you're lucky enough to have it arrive at all, will probably be some crappy mediatek chip, bundled with spyware phoning home to a server in china, or simply be buggy crap.

speed wise the moto g4 is at least twice as fast at least, compared to the 1st gen moto g (falcon), both multithreaded and single threaded, not sure about gpu, according to the benchmarks I saw.

Really wanted this phone until I found out it doesn't have NFC OR a compass.

I live in London so no Android pay for the tube and lack of functionality for google maps (can't see which direction I'm facing on the app which is extremely useful when finding places in a new area).

Real shame but these are two vital features for me. Quite surprised they've been stripped back.

Me - regularly. NFC is one of the most useful and under-rated features on any phone. Far more possibilities than just paying for goods - which I don't think is actually that useful. NFC can be used for so many things, at least on Android. Buy a few NFC tags and programme them to set profiles - silent, wifi off etc at work, Bluetooth on in car, Set alarms, Exchange contact information, turn on wifi hotspot. Yes it can all be done directly on the phone but for tasks that you do regularly it is brilliant.

For those raising issues about out of stock - just keep refreshing every couple minutes or so. I found that the phone was out of stock depending on the design features you choose. So maybe try to change some of the colours to your 2nd choice to see if it's in stock. I just kept refreshing and eventually within 10-15 minutes it was in stock again - I think it's pretty random.

When I ordered mine on Friday 25th November, the estimated delivery date was 2nd December, but as the online tracking from the confirmation email link didn't appear to be updating I contacted Motorola and they gave me the FedEx tracking number.

It was dispatched from Wuhan, China on the 30th, and went via Japan, France, Stansted and arrived at my local FedEx depot late last night. Delivery is now scheduled for Tuesday 6th December, but hoping it might be Monday so set up email notification for revised delivery dates.

I kept checking my order on the Moto website but the progress bar is stuck on order complete. Why did they hide the tracking details?
