Unfortunately it was just before the weekend when I asked them and they do not work over the weekend. I phoned them again and spoke to a woman who said she would contact the manufacturer/supplier herself to speed things up.
They are toughened glass and not the higher quality Borosilicate glass as used in the Pyrex Cookware/Jugs. They are more prone to cracking with wide temperature changes and are only rated to 130C. Not really a problem with Boiling water but the risk of cracking still exists. Borosilicate glass has low thermal expansion whereas the cheaper glass used in these has larger thermal expansion characteristics. Unfortunately the Pyrex jugs are a poor shape for what I need. The larger 1 litre ones are very wide and shallow which would be unusable with hand blender. These work well with a hand blender as they are fairly tall and not too wide.
It looks Identical to one I purchased from ASDA for £2 many months ago. I did order more than one but that was all that ASDA could deliver, they sent a number of Pyrex jugs as substitutes which were returned. The jug has worked okay and I have not encountered any problems with it, although I have not really tested it too much such as ice cold to boiling. For the money I thought they would probably be adequate so I ordered some. However I did have some problems with the Wilko site. The passwords are a real nuisance on that site not allowing any copy/pasting, constantly rejecting logins if copy/paste is used. Having teeth pulled springs to mind, an awful site IMO. Stuff not available online only in store, some almost identical items available online but others not available. Still, done now. A Big Thanks to the thread starter.

Well, if they are not, just buy the Pyrex one then - 4 times the cost, but still affordable & well worth the extra if you need to put it in the oven: Pyrex Classic Measuring Jug 1L
For £1.50 is it not worth a punt if you need one? Either way, good luck with your quest

I've phoned them but the woman did not know. It will take 48 hours to find out by which time they will most likely be sold out.
It's whether it's worth gambling on them only to have to make a special journey to return them if they are not what I want.
For the full price I think they are probably borosilicate glass but it should be specified. Borosilicate glass is the far safer option. Who wants a glass jug that shatters when boiling water is poured into it? I have had this happen too many times with regular glass, cracking, bottoms cracking and dropping out.

Looks okay but is it borosilicate glass? The wilko site does not specify but reviews on the site compare with Pyrex.
The listing says not oven safe which does not suggest it's borosilicate glass which would be oven safe up to about 230C.
Borosilicate glass is much safer and considerably less sensitive to heat change.
It looks identical to one I got from ASDA which is borosilicate glass. I would like to be certain.

Cheaper at these places though (£4.50-4.99) if you have them nearby:

A pessimist sees the jug half-empty.
A HUKDealer sees the jug half-price.
