It goes out for a reason and an electrical fault is not worth risking. For me, it either works fully (including green light) or it goes to the tip.

Would have gone for this if it was switched. Still a good price but not worth the risk. B

Waste of electricity and time plugging of or leaving items without switching off. I like switched ones as well.

Changed my mind went to order but now out of stock for home delivery. Collect in store only now. And that really is too much effort since my nearest is 20mins drive away.

Its flickering because its a small neon bulb and they often do that when they start to age (some even do it when they're new).
It doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the surge protection.
I have a 4 gang Masterplug lead thats a couple of years old and both the red and green lights flicker on mine.

Green light means it is working. If no green light then you should scrap the gang.

Or alternatively rather than scrapping it use it for something you don't need surge protection for.

Looking for one or two of these. Might be the cheapest around, unless Home Bargains still has some left for £3.99.
If the surge light has gone out or is flickering they need replacing right?

I've had a few of these, the 'green surge light' is always a point of confusion.. It's on but flickering randomly on all my units, does that mean it's faulty..? Or doing it's job?.. I would imagine that if it was totally off it wasn't working....
