The Stanley Fatmax 18v 2Ah from Argos is worth the extra fiver, much more powerful torque rating and longer lasting 2ah batts

Yes these are lithium but only 1.3 so drain in no time the lithium lxt 3.0ah are the better ones.

Only a 10mm chuck, which shouldn't bother most people but just so peeps know (e.g. if you have existing large bits you may use).

I assume this is the same model as the £70 one from Toolshop last week? Mine arrived and I used it for a couple of days this week at work. Does the job well enough, but all I was doing was drilling holes into wood and plaster to hang TVs. Sufficient enough for me :smiley:

I agree, 18V is the way to go but if someone only needs it to drill a couple of holes in a year it's good enough.

Maybe if your using it professionally in your work every day yes I would agree this would not be the ideal drill..
If its to drill a few holes now and again for DIY this would be absolutely perfect, why spend pro money when your only going to use it rarely and most of the time its parked up in the shed...
