on prime £125 with 2x 3ah lxt bats. been cheaper but I think still a good deal!

Is this a good model? I've noticed that the body is black/white whereas Makita usually have the teal colourway.

Just a special edition colour they wheel out from time to time. I have the 452 which is a similar older version (specs on this look slightly better). Has been very good but is feeling its age now (due to alot of use). Not tried this yet though.

This is a mid range model. replaces the dhp456, more torque and 2 leds instead of 1, from what I've read.

mine came yesterday and is as they showed with 2 x 3ah. Didn't realise that Makita now included battery charge indicators on the batteries themselves! Seems great overall

finally opened mine. its 2016 version with battery indicator. well pleased. however it is made in China (thought makita had a UK factory?!).
also, when the battery is fully charged the red and yellow light goes on and then goes to yellow light on the charger but no beep. anybody know if that's how it should be?!

Light should change from red to end up green only. The beep is at the start of the charging. Fan will keep running for a good while on the charger (still moving air through the battery to aid cool down). They don't normally beep at the end.
