I guess a £29.99 purchase would not qualify since it's 1p short. £25 + VAT is £30.

Any ideas if you would get cashback on a pre-order, pokemon sun/moon from toys r us for example  What about spending 1 pence more for the £10?

19 Nov 162#14
Bit sneaky of them to hide the fact that its £25+vat in their T&C's, why don't they say £30 excluding delivery on the main page? I suspect this will catch some people out, which my cynical side thinks may be their intention.

Don't buy online from Toys R Us, they are totally inept. Just read the reviews on trustpilot.
I ordered 2 items together and only 1 was in the package I received. The shipping note said the missing item had been sent in the same package. I'm still waiting for them to ship the 2nd item that I never received.
Total shambles. Grrrrr!

What's really bad is when I called customer non-service, the woman who took the call named the item that I had not received without me having to say. I simply acknowledged that was the correct item. She made a statement rather than asking a question.
Now I understand that she had a 50/50 chance if she was guessing but it felt almost like there was a note on the order that she had just read and was not telling me. Ho hum, sigh.

Quidco has confirmed to me that submitting a highest cashback claim on Toysrus (TCB are paying 8%) will not affect the £10 bonus.

Thanks, cashback has tracked at 99p (from my £29.99 purchase) but I'm now slightly concerned about the VAT bit.
Also took me 3 attempts to successfully order. Twice paid via paypal but system crashed - no order confirmation but paypal have submitted orders to retailer? Hopefully they'll just fall off the system if TRU don't collect? . Tried to contact Toys r Us but customer services is only open Mon-Fri.

would trust Quidco, i did the opt in and get £10 bonus from Zalando the other weke, and now they wont honour it, saying that it had reached the max participents by the time i did mine - i didnt see any notice anyway about there being a limited number
Speculator to leeanne123
19 Nov 16#29
You mean "Wouldn't" ? The £10 is normally added after the cashback is confirmed (probably February)
My Zalando order tracked but the £10 has not been added yet.
Worth a punt, but like all cashback it is not guaranteed, especially if you register from the OP link but have not received the email from them (ie like me!).

As prices INCLUDES VAT and the offer is spend £25 EXCLUDING VAT (and delivery), you actually have to work out the VAT
So unless VAT is not charged on the product, you have to be very careful here you meet the terms

Agreed - although quidco have put this in the t&c I suspect a lot of people, myself included will get caught out particularly with the 29.99 spends.
My issue with quidco on this is that on the entertainer page it states that cashback is USUALLY paid before the addition of vat. My order is one item at a total of 29.99, and my cashback is showing tracked on an order value of £29.99 with the 10% cashback value generated being £3.00.
Incidentally there is no mention of vat anywhere on my order although I note if you want a full copy invoice you can request one for customer service - which I suspect would show the vat.
So for 'normal' cashback they don't appear on this occasion to have taken any vat into account.
However, I will be very interested to see if any vat element of my order suddenly becomes relevant when they decide if to pay up on my £10 bonus.
My sceptical side is not expecting to receive it, however it does feel very sneaky of quidco to include vat for one element of cashback and exclude it for the bonus.
I guess only time will tell.

Same here, I have raised a missing cashback claim and then a highest cashback guarantee claim (as TCB is 12%)

20 Nov 16#43
I think this is being viewed the wrong way. Quidco are basically saying please be aware of the VAT element in your purchase. They're not being awkward, it's just the way spending amounts are reported back to them.
To be absolutely sure it's obviously £30 minimum inclusive of VAT and excluding delivery.
Suzannzan
20 Nov 16#44
Oh Yeah no I completely appreciate that and agree
Quidco is always a bonus not a guarantee. Always best to be happy with the product price as it is. That way any cash back is a nice extra.
I'm just intrigued really that my normal cashback hasn't split out the vat, will be interesting if the same logic applies to the £10 bonus.
Will be good to see how it works out.
On another query, I need to do a £30+ order off elc which I'm going to do tonight - obviously excl vat that'll tip my order over £25+vat requirement - does anyone know if £10 bonus is per user or can you earn multiple £10 bonus?
Thinking just one £10 bonus per user - might get hubby to do the elc order on his quidco - assuming he has the offer available. Probably a more reliable way to maximise the chance of us each getting a £10 bonus.

I prefer TCB with these £10 offers. With their recent similar promo, the £10 was added and paid out within about a month.
