Would be tempted but Currys have let me down so many times already this month that I can't bring myself to shop there again.

No, that was just the wheel and peddles.

That's Amazon summed up really.
Those outsourced support centres are really not worth it.

I did the same thing. Got the wheel delivered on Thursday and saw on Friday it was twenty quid cheaper. Immediately sent them an email saying that as I could just return it, and buy it at the cheaper price with the net result being I get the wheel for twenty quid less anyway, could they refund me the difference. Didn't even reply, didn't answer my question, just sent me a returns label I could have printed off myself anyway. Sent another email in the hope that actually communicating with someone might achieve something and this time they did answer the question and no they won't do it. Seems a bit unreasonable really. Of course in the time it took to actually get someone with some reading comprehension to reply to me amazon sold out. I've been using the wheel with shoes on and stuff, I would have just handed the new box to the bloke collecting the return but I don't think I can really do that with curry's stock so i think I'm stuffed and down £20 more than I needed to be. ****.

Just thinking if you can use a button on the wheel it may be a little tricky holding a button down whilst steering, ill pop into my local currys and see if they have one on display so he can get hold of it and see if his hands fit, thanks for the reply.

Probably a stupid question but do you have to use the peddles with these wheels or can you set it to use buttons on the wheel? I want it for my little brother but he plays games sat on a bunk bed so can't use peddles, I would think there would be no way around it but you don't know till you ask, thanks

I've not used a wheel for a wheel, but I believe you can go into the settings and manually override the the controls for each buttons. So no pedals should be doable. Can someone above just confirm.

Almost as good as me - reserved G920, G29 was there - with no gearbox, they went and got a G920+Gearbox, fiddled with the price as it came up as 179. On the way back called me to say sorry don't come in as we haven't got any, but another store has them in stock - incidentally the other store being my local store which didn't have any stock when I placed the reservation, hence me travelling 10 miles to get it! Couldn't make it up.

I was all for returning ours back to store but I rang up our store, explained bought it online Monday obviously at different price, they told me to bring in receipt from one I purchased Monday at £149.99 and they sold me shifter for additional £10 to match the £159.99 shifter bundle.
Worth ringing and speaking to someone in your local store.
Other option was a refund back of £20 onto a giftcard, but my son will now be over the moon that he is getting the shifter aswell.

Also in a pinch you could assign it to handbrake duties for rally games if you don't have a flight stick or 2 lying around .
Mortis123
25 Nov 161#34
Absolutely.
Also depends on the game. Some games are more 'realistic' with a shifter. F1 is obviously better without.

The wheel has paddle shiffters so you are fine without one. It can be fun though if you want to simulate cars that use a gear stick though.

I'm looking at the Thrustmaster Ferrari spider 458 wheel, pedals and stand for £75 2nd hand. How does that compare?

24 Nov 161#22
Very tempting. Just bought a Thrustmaster T150 used for £50, is this much better?
SteTheDon to Bear76
25 Nov 161#27
If you can sell it for £50 then you should upgrade to this for better wheel and better pedals. Alternatively you could upgrade to T3PA pedals for £75 which would bring the sets to the same sort of level. G29 would still have better wheel but T3PA pedals will be better.
