you ordered without knowing the costs involved?
the amazon page says free 24hour period archive, further archive subscriptions available.
i don't see anything about recording to your own pc though.
i would do a bit more research before buying, ie how good/bad is the security, will it get hacked easily.
and some reviews say it's hopeless without mains power.

I believe it is indoor use only... also only lasts 3 to 6 hours on battery - needs mains power really to get full advantage.
Could "cover" it with a hood or something maybe?

Wouldn't a Foscam C1 do the same job for less? I've been using a couple of them and never had issue - not used them for remote viewing over the Internet but it can be configured and I'm pretty sure it came with free cloud trial card in the box. They also have onboard storage via an SD card, two way talkie talkie and Nightvision. Currently on Amazon for £45 for the C1 and £33 for the C1 Lite (no IR and no Ethernet)

Isn't the foscam 720p though, for around this price, if it doesn't get stopped by customs, I'd be tempted to get a 4mp Dahua Ip dome camera with sd card slot and 1/3” sensor, albeit with hacked into English, chinese firmware, no wifi and I believe it requires a cheap external mike if you want sound.
Yes I orderd without knowing much about it as I am on the market & this price won't last long at all

Thanks to the OP. I have been waiting for one of these to get reduced. I currently have a nasty chinese one that has no online storage. After using it a couple of times I realised that without this feature the whole thing is pointless.

struggling to find the price for cloud recording, the only mention I can find is $9.99. Does anyone know the cost in £? 24 hours is just not quite enough!

I just recieved my camera - Amazon same day delivery
set it up and the app isn't working on my iphone 5s
I installed the app & it crashed and jumps back out the app - deleted several times and installed
I'm using iOS 8.1
Anyone else experiencing this issue ?

note: next 24h overwrites previous 24 h etc so you always have the last 24h in the bag so to speak.
Also has magnetic dock / built in battery / and 2 way audio.

Mine arrived. Placed in nursery, excellent!
Picture quality, app UI and night vision is superb, as is the cable length and battery capability.
Highly recommended for indoor usage.
If you want no hassle exterior CCTV use Netgear Arlo cameras.

Yep, well pleased with mine. Only set up one of my two, but really easy to connect and site. Pic quality is great, app is easy to use and the Day Brief works really well. All in all a good buy at this price.
