not necessarily. this isnt supposed to be a surface.
the specs will be more than fine for everyday peoples everyday uses.
the surface is for people who need to do more demanding tasks.
but for those of us who dont need thaf power this is a bargain.

no one waste your money on this please. i bougjt ot and was so excited.
but its horrid.
the bezels are significantly bigger than on the 1010.
the body which i was led to believe was metal from the pictures is a cheap plastic.
the kickstand is unbearable very flimsy and will likely break quite soon.
to top this all of the performance for me just doesnt cut it at this price. its no longer in the 1010 budget but in surface second hand budget.
i will ne refunding tommorow. like dont get me wrong i aint like those people who are unreasonable but i really did try to give this a go but all the little faults i was willing to overlook just built up. really guys if you want a budget one get the 1010b i had that and its performance is much much better and in general a better tablet

Thanx for that timely info.
I believe the general tide of this has now since changed here:
If anyone is still looking and is finding that it is OOS as it is in my area buzz me and I will sell it as new for cost.
I am going to let it go as AC wireless was a must, but apart from that it is a very capable machine.
Oh, and the idea that a 10" screen needs FHD etc is a bit absurd. It's a bit like a mobile phone having a 4k screen. Our eyes can't tell!

It's not a deal breaker but for £200 you should expect a FHD display - because £70ish more than the 1010b for 2GB more RAM, 32GB more eMMC storage and nothing else is not good value. At £200 you are entering second-hand Surface territory and I know what I'd take. Full HD is particularly useful on a productivity device like this when working on documents or spreadsheets. It's good that it suits your usage pattern but it's just something for others to consider.

Wasn't the £200 for those Linx 12 inch Linx Tablets ONLY for the longggg Black Friday/Cyber Monday Weekend?, or .....
As they're in excess of £300+ now! (when I queried it via Sainsburys Customer Services Care Line, etc?), or am I missing something?.
But I'm more than happy to be proved wrong however? (as I blatantly would like one of them/those too!).
Thanx in advance for any advice.

Lol poor man's surface..
seriously It's a complete waste of £200.so low specs and appalling build quality.
Sometimes you actually need to pay to get a decent product.

I have a 1010b for a travel /work laptop. Really convenient size, and expandable storage. I've stopped using my main computer for work since getting this.
Windows 10 has caused some issues, would drain battery life when "off", solved by pressing shift while shutting down.
I would thoroughly recommend it for work on the go, browsing Internet, or running Dawn of war dark crusade.

i have one myself and it is well worth the money and has actually replaced my work laptop. Great bit of kit and the screen is excellent, wouldn't know why you would need a 1080p screen on a tablet for and why that would be a deal breaker breaker.

Get the 1010b and save yourself £70+ if that's all you're going to do with it. The 4GB RAM would probably be wasted and you can add more simple storage with a cheap SD card.
I think at £200, this really ought to have a 1080p display. Around this price, you can buy a second-hand Surface Pro 1 or 2 which is vastly better value for money.
