Looks a good price. I have purchased used curry ebay phone refurbs many times for myself and family. From my experience the phone should come in mint condition, boxed and with all accessories. The Currys ebay phone listings specifically state if no box and/or accessories missing. Full 12 months guarantee from currys ebay. I am prepared to be shot down in flames for this post but if it only helps a handful of people get a great phone at a bargain price, then so be it.
If i hadn't recently bought a refurb Samsung S7 from currys ebay, i'd have had this deal.

Blimey, that was quick! Wonder if someone bought the lot? EXPIRED THIS DEAL.
FYI there are still some LG G5's listed in various colours with missing accessories at the same price e.g. Missing SIM Card Eject Tool.
Worth considering but handset and battery only. No box and accessories.

Given the free returns via the post office I decided to pull the trigger and if it's not mint or I change my mind it can go back.

Yes I think so, a paperclip does the same thing. I think there were six of the ones with missing sim card removers when I ordered.

Battery is a bit underpowered for a quad HD screen

Glad a few of you managed to get one. I've always found currys ebay to be good at customer service. e.g. When a family LG G4 got the dreaded boot loop problem a few months ago, i returned it post free and within 24 hours of receipt, currys ebay gave an immediate full refund. As backup i always immediately register a phone on the manufacturers website so i can use the remainder of the manufacturers warranty if i so choose. With LG unfortunately it is only 12 months max :disappointed:

Re 12 months max with LG. I had two years with my G3. Do you know if it's changed with the G5?

Currys eBay often displays 'out of stock' only to be quickly refreshed next day. worth checking back tomorrow.

The warranty on my returned G4 was 12 months so I assumed it was the same for the G5. Anyone confirm?

not sure if anyone still reading this but I've not long opened mine (been away) and it has a sticker on the box saying "Stock repair" "knowhow repairs". Starting to get cold feet.
Does anyone know if this means the phone was actually a faulty return that's been repaired or just their process to wipe/check/clean before resale?

I've received a couple of phones from currys ebay labelled as stock repair and neither caused any trouble. TBH condition and performance wise they were every bit as good as 'open box' ones. I suspect (but cannot confirm) that 'stock repair' is a catch-all for all sorts of things. As the phone only launched in March 2016 I doubt it was due to faulty hardware caused through wear and tear. More likely to be software related with either no fault found or a reflashed OS. The one thing you don't want is an intermittent fault that does not become immediately apparent, although you do have the currys ebay 12 month guarantee as a fall back. If the phone looks mint i personally would keep the phone but if it's going to gnaw away at the back of your brain, then immediately return it for a refund. Terrific phone for £279 though.

Thanks for the reply - that reassures me a bit.
Phone looks faultless cosmetically. I've looked up the manufacture date based on the IEMI and it's saying it was manufactured 13th april 16. That seems a long time ago if it had say a months use (can't imagine it had more given immaculate external condition). After all, most retailers don't want to have lots of fast-depreciating £500 items in stock.
Agree re intermittent fault or indeed if it was a hardware fault and knowhow have had it all in bits i doubt they have the knowledge and clinical standards of cleanliness of LG.
I've emailed CurrysEbay asking if it's been repaired as it wasn't described as such in the listing.
Yes, I'm probably overthinking it. Need to weigh up if it'll gnaw away or I can forget it's history...
