Well that's exactly it. If you don't care about HDR then this is perfectly fine for a TV at this size for Coronation Street.
However, if you're someone who is going to be looking at the Xbox One S or PS4 Pro and going to watch UHD Blu-ray films and want the highest quality they can deliver, then it's not.
8bit = 16.7 million colours
10bit = 1.07 billion colours.
HDR needs the latter to work fully, but it also requires a TV will the ability to go to 1000nits of brightness.
Hope that helps :wink:

I have calibrated same model by my own, even motion flow, and picture is brilliant. 4k contents sharp and smooth... Thats true, LG standard picture settings is sh*t but if you buying 4k screen I hope you have basic knowledge about picture, calibrating and options which you can find in that kind of tv's.

Can I see the difference watching the Louise minchin pantie flash on BBC breakfast ? Or will Carol Kirkwoods breasts look even bigger on BBC breakfast weather ?

Haha yes which puts me off every tv deal on here! What is this mystical 10 bit anyway which costs 3 or 4 times the price and we probably cannot tell the difference when watching coronation street

I bought one of these at 799 a few months ago terrible tv bad back light bleeding and very limited picture adjustment it really is a basic 4k tv and limited hdr.. it went back to richer sounds after 1 week for full refund. not a terrible tv but with 200 quid off its more acceptable.

Just waiting for the numptys to arrive with the "8 bit - 10 bit argument" that happens every time someone posts a tv deal.
