LED Lenser 14.2 Professional Torch discounted heavily from £69.95 down to less than half price. I don't know a great deal about it but know the brand is one of the best out there and preferred by those working in law enforcement and security etc.

It's definitely AA, not AAA. That's the primary difference between it and the P7.2 (and the size to fit those in). So you can put some good quality AA batteries and it'll last for AGES. I have the smaller P7.2 and love it, so am getting this to add to the collection. Got the Audible £15 credit yesterday so perfect timing. Thanks OP.

I have the P14 - it has 4 x AA batteries. I seriously doubt the P14.2 (a tweaked version of the P14) would have AAA. The obvious place to check for anyone in doubt and with time is the LED Lenser website.
As for Amazon's specs., they're apt to be wrong, and should really always be confirmed against other sources if it matters or is in doubt!

Good price, but I really, really do not like torches with AAA batteries. This one takes four. They seem to always run out more quickly when they are not used and rechargeables never seem to last as well as the AA forms.
Personally, I don`t like digital switches, but you can`t avoid them nowadays

A professional torch? Does that mean, as I don't work with torches, I can't use it?

My friend have this model. Top quality. You can find better range but this one have beam size switch. Not all torches allowed it.
