Iv'e been looking all over for decent sized boxes to do my boy's Christmas Eve box and found these on tesco .
They just arrived this morning and are a good size with a lovely reindeer design and are really good quality for the price .
Other places are charging crazy prices for Christmas Eve boxes so this is a really good alternative especially if you have more than one child !
Add the perfect finishing touch to your Christmas gifts by presenting them in this large reindeer gift box. A great way to wrap awkward or odd shaped gifts or group smaller gifts together, the box features a red foil reindeer pattern and measures 230x230x135mm in size.
ye gods - let's hope HUKD don't do some boring reindeer thing yet again this year

Well basically its a gift box that you fill with things like Christmas pyjamas ,hot chocolate ,story book ,magic reindeer food and santa key or anything you like really and then you could personalise it and give to your children on Christmas Eve to make santa's arrival a bit more magical

it's not 2 lots of gifts!!! it's a fresh pair of pj's for when santa comes on Christmas Eve night. it's a bit of oats and glitter in a bag (reindeer food) that shows reindeer where to land. it's a colouring book and some new crayons to keep them entertained should you need to sort dinner or have any last minute wrapping to do. It's just a little fun to keep the magic alive a little longer. My kids won't believe in a few years time so if I can up the magic just a little then I will.

We've been doing this for a good few years, we usually have a xmas DVD, popcorn, chocolates, pjs, hot choc usually dress this up as 'snowman soup' with marshmallows & a candy cane in a little cone/bag, reindeer food (oats & glitter) home bargain/b&m, stuff we'd be buying in for Christmas anyway but it arrives by magic from the elves on Christmas Eve....doesn't have to cost a fortune....

The 'elves' deliver our Xmas eve boxes along with a letter from the man himself telling the kids to be good for the last day before he visits that night and reminds them to leave Rudolph a carrot! The kids faces when you read out the letter is just precious!!

The large boxes are only 23cm x 23cm, just make sure all your goodies will fit in them.

My mum used to do this when we were little 30 years ago, although it wasn't a box it was wrapped present of new pjs, bubble bath and bar of choc. I've been doing a box for the past 8 years for my husband that had new pjs and slippers, DVD, couple of bottles of Christmas Ale, bag of peanuts, and a pair of Christmas themed socks, now we've got kids they all get one but kids have a DVD and a Christmas book each, new pjs and slippers, reindeer food, tree ornament, chocolate coins and a letter from Father Christmas. I'm liking the idea of a colouring book to keep them busy while I do last minute prep, definitely going to include that this year

Christmas Eve box contents shouldn't be and need not be expensive so no need to think of them as two sets of presents. My children are young enough that they need new pjs each year because they have grown. Last year they got pjs that I bought in January is the sale for £3. I reuse the same "magic" key each year, which can simply be an old key maybe with a bit of ribbon (cut from the inside of a ladies top?) attached. I also include a new book, which we read at bedtime on Christmas Eve. Again, can be found cheaply. eBay has nearly new books or a charity shop or second hand book store. I don't include hot chocolate, but they do have a hot chocolate to drink. The box is part of preparing for Santa and getting ready for bed in our house, a calming way of settling two excited children. No toys because that wouldn't be calming!

I've been doing this for years even though my kids don't believe they still like
their parcels on Xmas eve, even do it for my husband and myself. although
not in a box usually just wrapped, we each get new pyjamas, tin of chocolates, dvd, crisps.

We've been doing this since we had our first (she's 20 now) but she still expects new jammies, bar of chocolate, hot chocolate and a Xmas DVD. It's a lovely tradition  heat

Just collected mine from Tesco. Small box for a large size, but will fit all the little bits I got from Poundland today. Great quality box too.
