Just a heads up mate, Amazon have shipped me 2 bottles of Whisky in the last week (to NI). Thought the first was a mistake but the second order was processed as well. Glenfaclas 25 and Highland Park 21 both at excellent prices.

Heat added. One less Christmas present to buy. How does a similar aged Lagavulin taste compared to this?

Just a note for anyone that likes a peated whisky. I tried a very unique glenlivet in heathrow departures the other day that blew me away. Called glenlivet nadurra.
Usually glenlivets are as far from peat as you can get but this one was matured in peated casks. And oh boy it works. Delicate yet peaty. Superb. Just thought i would add my 2 cents there.
Cheers for the heads up always up for trying another peaty one.

Of course QC is less aged than the 10 but costs more. I doubt anyone who likes their Peat would say that QC is inferior.
It's noticeable that Select is dropping in price though. I have only purchased it once in local Tesco clearance at £18. I actually enjoyed it but prefer the 10yo over Select. That said drop the price low enough and would happily buy another bottle of Select.

I thought the same but I'm sure someone might enjoy it. Or if you live off the mainland like myself, Amazon don't ship alcohol. In Northern Ireland you can't buy a bottle of Bushmills from them. Nonsense.

This is going to sound sarcastic but the 10 year old is 10 years old and the Select isn't. Distilleries are running short of supplies of aged whiskies (having to foresee demand in 10+ years is difficult) so are producing a lot more 'non-aged' spin off brands which are likely to have been aged for considerably less time (3 years is the minimum legal requirement) and therefore likely to be generally less complex and developed than their aged counterparts.

Didn't sound sarcastic... but seems obvious now you say it.. not a lot of difference in price however.

Laphroaig Select is currently £25 in Tesco if anyone is looking, or has club card coupons burning a hole in their wallet.

Good price for a good whisky.
Lagavulin is my favourite Islay whisky but that is never reduced! :disappointed:

I got a Lagavulin bottle at Costco the other day, £10 less than Amazon, I was very happy...
I really like the other one from this island. Any offers on that?

Still showing £26.50 at Asda where it has been for quite a while barring the week or so it dropped to £25. No arguments with that price (I have purchased several bottles at this price). I am now holding out for QC deal of around the same price.
Opening post
10p cheaper than Asda but delivered too ain't bad.
Usual price around the £35 mark.
Reduced to £25.99 (23/11/2016)
