The Singing Mermaid is a lovely book,. The mermaid is enticed to join a travelling circus but after a while wants to return to her favourite beach and sing. It then becomes a team effort between her new and old friends to get her back to Silversands. I used to read it to my granddaughters from an early age. They are now 3 and 5 and still enjoy it but I dare say there are a number of discussion points for slightly older girls.
