Overpriced 15% drink

this is lovely warmed for a few seconds in microwave or with some apple juice in a saucepan with a couple of cinnamon sticks.

tricky one to vote on as I don't think it's anywhere near worth the RRP
so is a tenner a hot deal? nice drink but pricey

Also £10 in Sainsbury's, but agree with many others it is absolutely not worth the money at 15% proof it's not far off wine, but at least twice the price. No vote, as it's not value for money imo

always at this price - asda usually drop it to £8(was last year) and was lucky last year tesco cleared stock at £5
so not really a deal

Seems a decent price but I didn't like the taste at all, and I like normal JD. The % is low as well!

It's nice but not worth a tenner, there's only a few glasses in each bottle. Wait until March then Asda will be selling it for a fiver, which it is worth

This is £10 in Sainsburys too..bought some at the weekend - tried it on the evening and it's absolutely vile stuff. Sticky sickly sweet and just horrible.

I have a couple of these bottles in the cupboard, quite sweet but I enjoy them warmed up. Wondering if apple juice mixed with JD 2:1 would be a similar flavour with the same %...?

Freezing cold, massively overpriced for what is effectively cider with Jack Daniels in. Should be nearer £5 - £6

that's in it is JD and apple juice. My advice is buy a bottle of JD, some apple juice, and make your own. it's something like one part jack 2/3 parts apple.

Be careful its scam. I found it in asda next to genuine spirits. You can buy one and then in home find out its ONLY 16%.

I'm partial to JD (and bourbon in general) but Winter Jack isn't great IMO.

If you want a nice apple drink try this:
2 parts toffee vodka
1 part vanilla vodka
cloudy apple juice
Touch of cinnamon.
I call it 'applecrumbletini'.

tastes watered down... I like it but prefer buying neat JD

This really is a winter time drink, I get a bottle just for this time of year.
For people who havnt tried it yet, its not whisky, more like a mulled cider with a hint of spice and just a touch of Jack.
Not meant to be drunk cold, so warm it up first either in a pan or microwave, add some extras to your personal taste (lemon juice apple juice or even some more JD) and sip it as a hot toddy.
Agree that £10.00 is a little steep for what it is, but compare that to two large wines in a pub, and its not so bad.
Alcohol content is low, but why does that matter, surely the taste is the key, thats why we like JD in the first place isnt it?

not the best deal considering jd honey, no7 & tennessee fire is only £15 at the minute. each that is.

I like this and for the fact is only 15% I drink this to enjoy not get drunk so the 15% doesn't bother me :smirk:

Whilst i like this drink, it is well overpriced for what it is,

its essentially a strong alco-pop

watered down mixed with something obnoxious

how else indeed would you drink this stuff
