I have been keeping an eye out for a washing machine and I spotted this yesterday on very, it was £179.99 yesterday but was reduced again this morning to £159.99 so I ordered one.
Very good reviews all round 4.8/5.
Hopefully link should work

If this is all you can afford, then it is fine, but the wash performance from mine was not very good, and the spin was even worse.
When it finally permanently died (went for a lie down several times), I replaced it with a bottom of the range Samsung - which is far better, both at washing and at spinning.
And is a LOT quieter.

Didn't have to look that up, I normally repair all my appliances myself, and we used to buy Hotpoint, still got one of their dryers, that was subject to the fire safety mod, and also got a Cannon cooker, from back when they were a solid, well made appliance, and not like the ones they sell now which are just overpriced variations on the indesit models with a few extra features. The last Hotpoint washing machine we bought was rubbish, its bearings failed after 1 year, and the drier wasn't much better, it saws through its own drum shaft when the bush wears out after 3 - 4 years, although that was just as well as I wouldn't have noticed that its inside was packed solid with fluff and stopped running it overnight, plus the first one delivered didn't even work.

Good use of Wikipedia. I stand corrected. What I should have said is they are essentially the same company which is why more than just hotpoint brand dryers were affected by the fault

Other way round. Indesit own and make the Hotpoint brand since about 2001, plus Creda, Ariston, Cannon, and more. And Indesit was purchased by Whirlpool.

Not sure whether to go for this or the Swan one for £20 more - it has a bigger (8kg) load size and 1400 spin speed..
Can you get £25 off by creating a new account as well I wonder?

Possibly yes, if you use topcashback too it works for Very although I'm not sure percentage of cash back

Just ordered the same for my mother in law from argos for £179.99
Cancelled and ordered this...My brother was a Hoover appliance repair man for many years and says you can`t fault Indesit for reliability.

They are part of hot point now. They were affected by the fire risk tumble dryer fault as I had mine replaced for free. My washing machine has been OK though. Must be almost 10 years old now. Starting to get a bit noisy on waste pump these days.

I know, they've had this 'countdown timer' on various items for the Black Friday event, the timer tells you how long until item is reduced. I think it ends today...not 100% sure though.

P.S: I'm not sure if it's just that price today as it was on a timer deal. May have to be quick!
