It says on their website they don't allow tethering - is this the case (for those using the network)?

I was on the £5 pm 1GB 250mins before I switched to the £1 pm Life mobiles were offering and I could tether no problem.

I tethered using my tablet the other day and it gave me a warning message about tethering. I am sure there are some apps you can use to confuse it into thinking you aren't tethering though.

Steer clear. They are criminals. It took months to cancel with them.

I just rang them and was advised if I took my current number over to the new plan I could lose the number and they don't advise doing it. It got so confusing that in the end I just gave my 30 day cancellation notice for current plan and agreed to lose my number. New plan applied for today and will just start using it when it comes through. Had no issues with the service at all, really happy with it and have made it shockproof so no unwanted extras on my bill

Really, they told you you lose your number when switching a plan? Ridiculous!

What deal is this for £1 pm - I've just had a look and the cheapest that I can see is £4.95 pm? Thank you.

Of course, any network can - just make sure you get and use a PAC code before closing down old contract, can't port a number on an already ended contract - using PAC ends the contract.

This deal has been running ages I think, been on it the past month.

I tried ID, was impressed with Phone App and the price was great, but then I realised I wasn't getting 4g very often at all. I switched to BT as I had BT broadband and found that for me ID was terrible in comparison. As said earlier in post, its the Three network, so check your ability to get a decent 4g signal with them at the areas that you will need.

I didn't notice any major problems on iD - 3 have a fairly good 3G footprint.
I moved house and couldn't get good iD (3) coverage indoors but then tried EE and their 3G/4G was almost identical coverage wise. I actually found iD/3 3G faster than EE 4G in some areas. Also had EE 2G roaming in the English lake district and Scottish highlands.
It's a one month contract, if you have issues port out...

Im with them on the £5 month 250 mins, 1gb. When they had this the other week, rang them to ask if could get the extra 500 mb for the same price, an they carnt upgrade it! What a joke, asked for pac to leave.

Word of warning #2 on iD - although at the moment I'm 'okay' with my £5/m Sim Only, I can tell you they rip on the amount of data they reckon you are using - I tested it when I realised it was happening, had phone data completely off for days, checked and reckoned I'd used something like 100mb; never had that on previous networks.
Oh, and lol @ BT "Unlimited" - is that like their broadband with a whopping 20gb cap?

If it was anyone else I'd bite their hands off, but carphone warehouse? No thanks. Plusnet pre register offer is 4gb of 4g on EE for £10 and unlimited texts and minutes! They start on 28/11.
BT Broadband is one of the cheapest for the first year after incentives and cashback.

"Basket empty" on all the discounted prices, but works perfectly fine on the Buy Now buttons at full price. You've lost a new customer, iD Mobile.

signed up for this a month ago - it's not a black Friday deal, and I'll eat my hat if the offer isn't available next month!
my wife was in the 500mb £5 plan. she managed to get that upgraded to the now standard 1gb data, but was not able to go right up to the 1.5gb on this offer.
it seems that though they're only 1 month contracts, to change plan you have to cancel, port your number to a payg sim, then port back in again. a right pain.

I been with them about 4 months. I feel like they are adding charges. i have wq4u app and yet still got charged for some calls. plus I'm sure I'm losing data.
they won't let me change to this without losing my number

Hi kghunt, what was the process you followed to cancel the service and what were the issues you encountered which caused it to take months?
kghunt
6 Jan 17#40
I tried using the site which never seemed to work (or they ignored it). so the. I rang them 3 times and each time they said they had cancelled it but each time they continued to take money from my account. I eventually threated to report them to the authorities. I suddenly got 3 months refund and my account cancelled but no communications. Everything about them from their messed up phone prompts and customer service is absolutely shocking. Do not touch them with a barge pole.
