Very clever marketing ploy, yes it will cost them to send out the DVD.

But everyone will jump for it, then realise you need to register your credit card details with Sky Store in able to get it, good way of getting everyone to register those details which means it's easier to everyone to PURCHASE films from sky store at a later date.

Uh guys? You don't need to be a Sky customer. They did a similar deal with Kung-Fu Panda some time ago. I've never had Sky, just made an account with them back then, and that same account just worked to "buy" this.

Thanks. I only use Sky broadband but it let me have this for free.

It is free as there is no charge but like many sites it will ask for card detail but it wont actually charge you. If you have any concerns just do it on the sky box but make sure you order the right one.

If you aren't a Sky customer you can still get the freebie on Skystore.com but you have to sign up and this involves adding your cc details (as with all services these days) You won't be charged anything as this is a FREE offer whether you have Sky or not. Once you get it on the website, you get the DVD in the post, can watch it on PC and just download the Sky Player app and you can watch the movie on your phone/tablet

To be fair tho apart from a stocking filler for a young child who hasn't seen it cant see what big deal is, Its donkeys old and bin lids probably have seen it.

Crap experience. Logged into Sky store from laptop, clicked Buy, went through thy payment setup process, bank blocked the 10p transaction Sky tried to do on my card! Chat with the bank, card unblocked, try again, Order goes through but does not appear on my account! Order Tracking link does not show the order, My movies link does not show the movie, the call centre agent says they cannot see my account to check what have I got or what I ordered! What the toff... she tells me I should wait an hour to see if the movie and the order will appear in my account.

All these people compaining its free for god sake

For anyone with Sky Q and wants this offer then follow these steps -

Press the search button on the top right of the remote control

Then search for the letter i ,this should now bring up ice age continental drift in the list

Select continental drift and it should take you to the option to buy it for FREE

For goodness sake. It's been commented on at least 5 times in this thread. It's a pre authorization. It's not actually a charge on your account. It's like when you go to a hotel and hand over your card to pay for a room. They always put a hold on a couple of hundred quid for the duration of your stay in case you run off with the tv etc. This hold is then removed once you leave.

As well as numerous other posts asking the same question.

Download worked fine.

Dvd showing as ordered 9th, estimated despatch 10th, estimated delivery 15th (was 14th).

Still "in progress".
