Anyone got one of these ? Thinking about getting one for my son for his ps4 ... any feedback would be most welcome.

ask if your son requires a mute switch for the mic as this headset does not have one. e.g so when he's gaming online and needs to shout you for more snack's he wouldn't be able to mute the mic, he would have to physically unplug the mic connection.

I own this pair and a PS4. They are excellent with it and would absolutely recommend them at this price. Have not tried the Cloud IIs for comparison sadly.

I have the Hyperx Cloud Stinger. Love them. Bought them to replace a pair of turtle beach that I had to send back due to a squeaky hinge.

How are the stingers? Had my eyes on those and the cloud/cloud 2's for awhile for an xbox headset (currently use a pair of g930s on my PC). Difficult to find headsets that don't kill your ears after a couple hours when you're a glasses wearer

There's a mic-mute button on the main volume control box. I love mine, great sound quality, comfortable and sturdy.

Erm.....there is a mic mute switch on the little control box.

Am I right in thinking the only difference between these and the cloud 2 is 7.1 surround?
Has anybody owned both the cloud core and cloud 2?
Trying to weigh up if I should go for cloud 2 or these.

For me the Cloud 2s are worth the extra 20 or so bucks
Surround sound is great for gaming, you can turn off if you want just music or something too
Also I feel the build quality is a little better on the 2s
Having said that this is a price drop on the Clouds so, is it worth nearly double the price for the 2s? Probably not
My Clouds went back after 6 months: intermittent mic and plastic starting chipping off
Went with Razer Kraken 7.1s, theyre great

Thanks, been reading a bit and most say the Cloud 2 are worth that bit more.
I'm gonna hold off until Black Friday hoping they come down to around £40/50

I would do that to, or look on warehouse, I picked up a pair for £58 randomly, honestly they rarely drop to those kind of lows

They have, they were that price last year, I almost bought them then,
I got the Cloud Cores recently which are basically the same as these but just lacking a few extras and whilst they sound great I always feel just a little uncomfortable with them whether it's due to hot ears or how tight the headphones grip and so I'm probably gonna return them. Having said that, many reviews I've read of them state they're very comfortable so I guess I'm a bit of an anomaly unfortunately.

I've had these for a good couple of years. Excellent is probably the best way I can sum them up.
I used flubit and got them for around £34/35 so worth a shot.
They are very comfortable, I have a larger than normal head and some turtle beach and other brands are just not comfortable. These are over ear which I much prefer to on ear.
They come with 2 sets of ear covers, I prefer the sponge type ones as they don't hold in the heat as much as the leatherette ones do. I can wear these for hours with no discomfort.
The main benefit though is the customer service from Kingston. Best I think I've had. Even out of warranty I got a new mic sent out. No questions asked.
I use them on an xbox one as well. Work brilliantly. Can't fault them at all. I also sometimes use them without mic just as headphones. Pretty decent sound for 30 odd quid.

I am after a new headset to use with Xbox One. I am interested in 7.1 surround ones but seems that surround sound does not work properly with xbox one.

heard people say that but I select bitstream out via hdmi and it sends 5.1 to my system so I think people are just getting the settings mixed up, this is the xbox one s though (my TV passes through DD and DTS luckily!!)

My son owns the cloud 2s, which we got for £50 on a deal. He absolutely loves them. We previously owned a very expensive pair of turtle beach headphones, but they were really problematic and not particularly comfortable for him. Comfort is very subjective though!
From memory, the 7.1 sound is via the extra cable and module that is designed for a PC and not the Xbox One.
We are now waiting for a deal on the cloud 2s, as we need a second pair for my sons 'other' home!

Might just have to bite on one of them and try then. I had a pair of trittons but the clamping force combined with their on ear design was migraine inducing. Only pair I've owned that were really comfortable were my turtle beach x12's. I've worn them for nearly 10 hours before without much break without any pain. These G930's are alright but I do need something for X1.
