60 pots of play doh! I know someone who can covert that to one large clump of brownish play doh with some on the floor to spare.

Why are you lot so obsessed about pieces per box when it's the actual weight of the bricks that better determines value for money? When I last looked at a LEGO set, the pieces weren't all the same size! It'd be interesting is this will be as good as Tesco's 3-for-2 when I spent thousands. I'll not add heat or cooling until I see it. Don't hang about as I'm going in big if the offers are good. PM me if you don't think I'm serious.

just a quick question to someone who obviously knows about lego,do you think the market is saturated.

I see no obsession with number of pieces.
There are two Classic boxes for sale at different retailers, and a quick look suggests they are more or less identical in terms of the pieces provided, and it so happens that both contain approximately 580.
But the comparison is the type of brick and if you look the boxes are so similar it simply appears that 10702 is probably a replacement for 10695.
Does that make it the comparison clearer to you?

toys r us have buy one get second half price on hot wheels so if you know someone else who wants one works out at £52.50 each and you get a £15 voucher when you spend over £100

Oh no :disappointed: that's not good news! Wonder if toys r us would price match with asda online price. Only thing is the asda one has an extra car wash included with it so it's not exactly the same! I guess worth a try.
But will keep my eye on the asda website anyway. Thanks for letting me know about instore.

Ahhh so funny. I saw all this stuff in Canterbury ASDA at ridiculous prices - now I know it's because they are going to halve it to something more sensible.
The Lego Cube is the one that's been £12.99 on Amazon isn't it?

Was thinking the same, £15 was the normal price. I'm sure I bought it on offer at £10 last year..

10702 has 583 pieces. 10695 has 580 pieces.
So assuming it's a similar mix - which it appears to be - 10695 for £12.99 is better value than 10702 for £15.
adam.mt
1 Nov 16#20
Thanks. Seems equivalent set to 10695 (both 580 similar pieces) so not quite as good value, but it's still the best price for it and kids may prefer one to the other.

Assume lego cube is 10695 (since £20 most places); this is £12.99 at Toys R Us at the moment. Sure somebody will confirm for sure.

It's 10702 £20+ elsewhere that I can find, so £15 seems a good price.
