Heard good things about the Huawei P9 as a decent alternative to the usual Samsung/Apple phones. Apparently the P9 is one of their best ones. 8GB of data for £26 a month seems decent too.

[Update, November 16 10:00am] While Kryptowire reported that Adups' software was used on Huawei and ZTE handsets in China, a Huawei representative told Ars:
Huawei takes our customers' privacy and security very seriously, and we work diligently to safeguard that privacy and security. The company mentioned in this report is not on our list of approved suppliers, and we have never conducted any form of business with them.

giffgaff have the unlocked phone at £350 for a while now so weigh up the monthly SIM on that basis. nett £11.42pm for the minutes & data seems great even with a 2 year lock in.

Man, that's annoying for me! Just bought the Honor 8, I would have preferred the metal build of the P9 but I didn't fancy messing around with O2 and my price limit was £350. And I can't return the Honor 8 as I bought it in store. Ah well, nevermind!

Shame good phone but terrible network.Talk talk I disguise with the dodgy customer service.Tried to give my friend a pac code that was an o2 one due to not wanting him to leave.Theyll try anything not to lose a customer lie and make it such hard work it's near impossible and the amount of times the line disconnects when trying to get the pac code is laughable.

Damn, I'm about to port my number out of TalkTalk mobile, I guess I'll have to ready up for battle and maybe cancel the direct debit on my bank side at some point if they don't go through in reasonable time. Thanks for the heads up!

OP .. it would have helped everyone a bit if you'd have mentioned somewhere in the body of your Deal both Network 3 as the Network, and MobilePhonesDirect as the Merchant for your overall Deal and stuff?. :-)

great little phone. I love it. once you get a grip with emui i find it lot better than samsung's. easy to use, good spec, awesome battery.
Good deal and 3 aren't as bad as some people say. I've had no problems. This is an essentials package, so you don't get the feel at home or a personal hot spot
