Does it have any soft padding inside to protect the laptop or just a normal unprotected bag branded for laptop use?

Saw this bag in Currys store last week for £15. Not great. No real padding and looked cheap. Ended up spending a bit more on a Belkin bag from Amazon. Cold from me unfortunately.

The bag weighs 60g? That is just over 2oz. Just how much protection is that going to give any laptop? Fine as a tote bag but nothing I would trust anything expensive in.

Bear in mind this is a 'laptop backpack' rather than a normal backpack that can hold a laptop. It's very small and flat, so if you want to carry around alot of gear, it won't be for you.
Can't argue with the price though - £10 is a bargain.

The original price IS a rip off though because it's abundantly clear that if they're selling them now for £9.97, there's was a 150% retailer markup on the price of the bag. This bag would have cost HP £2-3 to make.

you have proof it's a rip off. Yes it may have been made for a few pound, just like every other product in retail, the laptop to go into the bag will have been produced at a fraction of the retail price. Welcome to the real world.

I've got this bag. It's actually a really nice bag with separate laptop padded compartment. has loads of pockets for stuff. I managed to use it as my hand luggage as two properly separated areas and lots of space. ordered a spare! o think it was worth full price.

i just got this in braehead Glasgow (3left) there is no padding at the bottom of the bag, there is back padding. I will use this to carry cheap electronic stuffs or maybe use it for the gym so i can look geeky as well as fit, but no way i will put my primary laptop in it
