HP Envy 5540 printer, £19 in store at Tesco Castlereagh, Belfast. I do not know if it's national. They had around 10 stacked at the start of the tech aisle.
The link is to the printer at Tesco Direct, still full price, for specs purposes!
That one is ' Envy 4524', this one is a newer model 'Envy 5540' I believe not sure what the difference is, but it's much cheaper compared

I can take a pic of the sticker, if anyone wants me to? Although I did say it was in that specific Tesco store, so may not be everywhere.

The 5540 is the normal version of the printer, there are versions in various retails giving various months of instant ink plan for free. 5546 is in PCWorld/Currys, 5544 is in John Lewis and PCWorld/Currys as well at the moment.

Be store specific then, oh well the ferry fare over the water won't make this such a good deal lol

Think my hubby may have bought the last one.Worth asking though as have found Castlereagh Road like to hide stock in warehouse.

Heat for use of the words "I do not know", so many people will use wooly expressions rather than admit they don't know.

OMG! Just paid £70 for this in Currys. (Although I did get 9 months free ink!)

printers are sold cheaply because manufacturers re-coup their losses on the ink. HP are the worst their ink is the worst when it comes to value.

For only the last 10years or so. With instant ink, for certain users, HP are now one of the best. I get 300 A4 pages of full colour hi-res photo's for £8 a month (plus paper of course). Sure there not lab quality but for my needs and with my particular HP, there excellent. No other option comes close.

Indeed, first thing to check when buying a printer, is how much the ink costs and if aftermarket ones are available. Whatever you do, dont buy the newer Canon MG's - seriously "office space" moment.
