My boiler is a combi and pretty primitive, it's all on the boiler and manual, I can set a time and it has a basic thermostat, so no idea if it could be connected.

I currently have Worcester Wave installed which is a bit clunky. How easy would it be to swap the Wave out for the Hive myself?

you need a good understanding of your current CH/HW wiring, incl what type of boiler you have incl the type of system (Y or S plan) if you feel you can the knowledge oif this, then this is a great forum to use
This or Nest? I can get the Nest at £129 so much the same price..

This is £9 month including install from British Gas if you have home care, £10 month if you don't. If you cancel after 12 months then you pay a fee of £70, so in total will cost you either £178 or £190.
