Mine just arrived and HO-LEE SHEET those wall mounts. I've seen stronger screws used to hold together kids toys!
TV looks smart as hell, but seriously worried about wall mounting lol

Can you measure the width of the feet? I think it's too heavy to wall mount so I'll probably buy a stand for it.
This is a 2015 model isn't it?

Have you wall mounted it or not ?
That does concern me a bit as I'll be using the vesa mounts.
Any better/stronger way of mounting it ?

I had a feeling AO would pull some of the big codes for Black Friday. Must admit its been a very poor year for big TV's - the only deal that's stood out for me was the £799 65K5510 & 65M5510 at John Lewis and even they've been cheaper, as low as £658 in the past few weeks.

Mine just arrived and first impressions are great. Great picture from HD and 4k sources. even SD isn't bad though it's always going to look average on this size screen.

Thanks.
How have you found it. Does it get regular updates? How is SD and HD pic quality?

It's designed to be wall mounted all right, just really small screws {m3x8}
The feet are 48" apart and 10.5" deep

This or the techwood 65 inch ? Anyone care to guide me ? X

24 Nov 16#29
I'd only recommend the Techwood if you positively must have a 65" TV cheap. Trouble with them is they're manufactured by a company called Vestel and they're not exactly known for quality or longevity. This Hisense will outperform the Techwood in every respect, more HDMI ports, better smart features, 3D, more USB ports (inc USB 3.0), Satellite Tuner, excellent sound etc I could go on. You also get two years warranty. Build quality is also excellent, it weighs a tonne and the silver trim running around the edge of the screen/bezel is actual metal, as are the chrome feet - as I said above to me this looks and feels like a premium TV.

I've ordered this too and searched for a voucher beforehand and a £30 off one came up but no mention of a £40 off voucher as stated here. Bit gutted I could've saved another tenner but I'll live with it.

Thanks, I've purchased one now. How did you get the cash back/down to £488?
freakstyler to marlonanthony
23 Nov 16#25
I went through Topcashback before I ordered, possibly a little late for you now seeing as you've already ordered. Still though, it's well worth £505 and you also get a set of active 3D glasses in the box (saving you £16 if ordering them from ebay)

So who has this set, very tempted to pick it up. Anyone with any experiences playing this with PS4 Pro? How's the HDR Update?

You'll be best off having a read of the forum I linked to in the deal information for reviews on gaming performance.
Just been playing about with mine, must admit it looks, feels and performs like a premium TV. At £488 with cashback I'm more than pleased with it and, in all honesty it performs better (deeper blacks, better screen uniformity, better build quality and better sound) than the popular 65K5510.

just wait 2 or 3 more years to buy any HDR or 4K tv. There is no sense to buy tvs like that to watch sky.

why not? will sky look worse on an4k tv than on a 1080p tv?

Anyone think it'll be cheaper come Friday?
freakstyler to fruityloop
21 Nov 16#17
Maybe slightly cheaper. I'd rather pay £10-20 more now than wait until Friday and have to deal with slow sites and stuff going OOS quick.
As a side note, TCB is 3%. Assuming they payout its showing as £16.35 for me. Makes this even cheaper at £488.

Dolby Vision? Latest I read says HDR10 is winning but yeah we won't know for a while.
Although I do believe DV is 12 bit? Despite there been a max of 10bit panels at the moment who is to say 2/3 years down the line DV won't be the better option.

HDR 10 suport is the default specification for UHD ,Dolby Vision is the optional spec, here is the difference:
hasn't HDR already won? I read somewhere that all broadcasters have opted for it.

I actually agree with Hatton here, if you are looking to get a new tv then why not future proof yourself with a decent 10bit HDR panel? Deals can be had where you don't pay much more than this.

problem is there's Dolby and hdr 10, so it's not as simple as just picking an hdr TV. need to really wait to see what format wins

Isn't it a bit pointless obsessing over HDR at the minute due to it not being standardised?

Whatever floats your boat.
If you don't know the answer to that then you shouldn't be looking at new TV's. Do some research.

Just came across this, it has been cheaper on here @ £495 with a CRT trade in.
The K700/730 Series has quite the following over on AVForums see here:

Code: GET40 knocks the price down to £505.00
