GAME's website is all messed up when trying to order for collection using PayPal, so had to order delivered and hope it arrives in good condition.

Thanks for that, I just took it out of the box and had a closer look, neither figure felt loose and the leg joints seemed secure on both.

No probs. I was checking everything over, when I found the statue busts were loose. I thought this was normal, till I checked the leg joints that were attached to the backdrops and noticed that it looked sheared off... The legs were the weak point of both statues.

How damaged exactly, only gave mine a quick glance when it arrived and nothing was loose and both looked ok, so I assume mine are not broken in any way, but it would be nice to know how/where they tend to break so we can check the weak points for cracks at least.

I received mine yesterday and both statues were broken. Having it sent back is a pain because they ask you to drop it off at a store or Royal Mail. Check everything before registering the game, just in-case. Luckily, I hadn't.

Mine arrived and no Game stickers, looked sealed as I would expect with circular tape. I would guess that yours is an ex-display one if the code was not scratched enough to read rather than a pre-owned one. I had similar on an order before and Game said that sometimes they are opened in store and resealed but are still brand new (yeah, I had that debate with them as technically it is not brand new if they have broken the manufacturers seal).

Funny that about human nature, we always want things we can't have. Now it's back, I may take the plunge...although what would I do with it?? Anyone else get what might be a pre-owned one? Seems someone had tried to have a go at the digital code scratch thing (it ought to be valid as they didn't get very far with it) everything seems a bit creased, the steelbook case didn't have the sleeve that the limited edition does and it had a game brand sticker seal stuck to it..

If the statue is hollow plastic thats very disappointing, wont be much of a book end for my hard back game guides. Still awaiting my delivery (got dispatched) but no info who the carrier is or for tracking.

Got mine this afternoon. I like the size and detail of the statue, but it is hollow plastic. If I'd have paid £200 at release I would have felt very ripped off. No physical disc in the Halo 5 steelbook case either, just a download code.

Compare it to the Witcher 3 CE last year which had a heavy polystone statue, plus disc and steelbook and hardcover artbook, and metal Witcher medallion and that cost 70 quid less at £130. No wonder there was so many Halo 5 CE's left over.

​That's as bad as Yodel. The sheer amount of ineptitude and bad practices I've personally witnessed and read online makes me worried every time a retailer chooses to use them.

I see there's still stock online @£30. They must have manufactured a very large amount of these CE's. The only way you will truly know if a CE is going to be worth something is if there is a visible number on the packaging as to how nany were produced. Otherwise they can keep on making them ad infinitum.

Mine was delivered today via Hermes. Left it around the back - luckily it didn't rain today!

​Finally got confirmation from DPD and Game. I don't mind Hermes, but they can delay items sometimes. DPD are always consistent and order tracking via their app is great. The worst courier for me is Yodel. They always have delays and can dump parcels in bins.

​Just called Game and apparently it was sent on the 22nd via DPD, and should have been delivered by now! The fella on the phone sent an email to the warehouse in case the order is stuck in the system somehow. I think these would be classed as a medium parcel with Royal Mail if you try to buy and print postage through ebay I was quoted 2nd class signed for £14.85 recently when I was selling something similar. Pacels2go was less than half the price giving you the option of ups dpd hermes etc. So that would be the way to go if posting this.

More like after a certain time frame where nobody is buying them at full whack any more and they've earned their dough off those who did already they just want shot of them because these collector's editions were nowhere near as collectible as they made out by definition of them having manufactured tens, perhaps hundreds, of thousands of them at the outset.

Just wondering about some of these CE's. It's almost like they have to hold onto any unsold ones for 12 months before offering a big discount. It happened with Halo 3, Gears of War 3, numerous Assassins Creed CE's and now Halo 5. And it tends to be the AAA games that this happens with. Games with smaller budgets or production runs end up being worth a lot more.

Or you could just insulate your loft and get a grow sorted up there instead if you fancy yourself as a part time entrepreneur, it's far easier and much more profitable than all that ebay stress is.

This Len who I believe is the manager in the Harlow branch was telling me one woman came in yesterday afternoon wanting to order 10 for cash over the counter but he refused to do click and collect because of lack of space in their stock room so she ended up ordering 15 to her home address instead, makes complete sense that :smirk:

I rang their central number after being in a queue for about 30 minutes someone picked up then it got cut off, saying due to high call volumes, anyway I thought Id chance going to the store that had stock (few remaining in yellow), when I got there he said they had none left and had sold out straight away as very good price.

So just a heads up if it says last few remaining in yellow then they probably are already sold out, as he said they had sold out hours before I had seen it as being available there in the online store search.

worst checkout experience of my life, fist time round logged in and then said problem with billing address even though it was right so i typed it out again and tried like another 5 times. wouldn't work with paypal or my card so i tried game wallet. said there was a problem with my email address. logged out, guest checkout, still didn't work. tried game wallet again. fraud error. finally went through when i did the same thing again.
