I've got one ready to pick up today! I was considering picking up the Session for £150, but even though this is the previous generation, it's a similar spec and has an LCD screen - just in time for the hollibobs!

The Hero uses an old CPU/GPU so get the cheaper and far superior 4K Sj5000 with the NTK96660 CPU/GPU.

Failing that the 4k Xiaomi Yi 2 (although it is a bit more expensive than this deal)

Cancelled lots of options to research

Found from a friend of mine the go pro 4 silver in US is at $199 on sale tomorrow. Might not help everyone but just a price comparison.

I bought the GoPro from Argos yesterday but having seen the DBPower Ex5000 I am ordering that today from Amazon Prime and will return the GoPro next week after testing the much cheaper camera for a full refund. If the cheaper one isn't as good as the YouTube videos suggest - that will go back and will keep the GoPro. (Amazon have the DBPower on offer for £45 (50% off).

The GoPro Session is the same price (but with a 32GB memory card). Is that a better deal?

It will be delivered tomorrow. I will give it a thorough test over the weekend. If its ok - will take the GoPro back early next week and get my refund. I have resisted removing the GoPro out of the box. Will let you know my findings
