Why pay someone to insult you to get thin when your family will do it for free.

There isn't a lot of recipes in the books you get as they have separate ones at group to buy such as currys, fakeaway (SW friendly recipes based on popular takeaway food) etc. There is however a lot of recipes on the app and online and you don't need to be a member to see most of those. They have lots of recipes for the whole family depending on what you like. It's all about food optimising which means making sure at least a 1/3 of your plate has syn free speed foods such as vegetables. In the book there is a list of your speed food, syn free foods such as your meats and muller light yoghurts, your healthy Extra a choices and your healthy Extra b choices which you have a daily limit for, out with those you can use your syns. It may sound a bit complicated but it isn't and you soon get used to it. You won't be hungry on slimming world and it does work. You need to want to do it of course. It may not be for everyone but if I can do it then anyone who wants to lose some weight can. Ps I do not work for slimming world lol. I'm just so pleased with my results so far.

You just need to pay the £4.95 when you get there, you'll sit in the new members area and the consultant will go over the plan with you and give you your pack which includes the plan book and some others (body magic etc) Afterwards you get your first weigh in, get your membership card and PIN number to access certain areas on line and to log on to the app for syn values of various produce. I joined 9 weeks ago today and have lost 27lbs, pleased I joined.

Thanks for your informative comment. I will give it a try just so fed up with yoyo dieting but with more ups than downs lol .

I lost 2st a few years ago on the plan and you can make meals that you'd usually make like spaghetti bolognise, curries, steaks, even fry ups, but tweak them a little to make them healthier (eg fry lite instead of oil and trim the fat off the bacon). I also found a load of new recipes to try (Diet Coke chicken anyone?)

Slimming world is a waste of money. Get some scales. Download my fitness pal and eat at a calorie deficit

it's aload of rubbish. as long as your calories in is less than your calories out it doesn't matter what you eat.
