This question was asked a few weeks ago when this offer was last on here and the answer was no they do not count bags as a purchased item.
Personally I would just add a http://www.argos.co.uk/product/2827683 for 19p and if thats not in stock search galaxy chocolate or Maltesers

Odd question - I've stuff reserved for collection totalling 99.97 - if I buy a carrier bag will that entitle me to the £10 voucher?

What happens if you have to return the item? Do you keep the voucher (I presume you do). Thanks

I'd of thought they need it back, if that was the case of you keeping it whats to stop people buying somethinf taking it back, then buying it again

I bought 2 items for over £100, bought something with the £10 voucher and returned one of the original items for its full value. I'm not sure if you buy then return if you keep the £10 voucher if you haven't already used it.

If you return item, the voucher goes with it. Otherwise they'll knock off the amount from the refund..

if it is not too much trouble return it and buy it again to get the voucher.
do remember you still need to use that voucher before it expires, so in the end, you might spend more money later with the voucher.

10% off everything in store? Hmm, OK but not that great.
Oh what's that? 10% off a £50 minimum spend and £100 maximum spend? Oh, so really not that good then?
Oh what's that? 10% off a £50 minimum spend and £100 maximum spend deferred until your next purchase, meaning it's actually less than 10%? So really, really not that useful then?
Oh what's that? 10% off a £50 minimum spend and £100 maximum spend deferred until your next purchase, meaning it's actually less than 10% WITH an expiry date meaning realistically you'd have to think of something else to buy in a separate transaction in the same trip or have to go out of your way to get BACK to Argos in a separate trip meaning the saving is even less because you'd have to include travel costs? So...how is this a deal again?

Many people will be buying from Argos already at this time of year so to get a voucher also is a bonus . Shouldn't be very difficult to use your voucher at this time of the year anyway even if you just buy Gift Wrap, Batteries, Sellotape etc . The deal is also more generous than Tesco Club card, Nectar or Morrisons more points.
Always going to get people that criticise whatever deal comes along and if you want to factor in travel costs you should do that with everything you buy, not just single out a trip to Argos.

Most deals don't potentially require two trips to benefit from it. I just don't think this is that good a deal. 10% off most items on this site don't go hot but for some reason this deal, a worse deal with LESS than 10% with specific criteria that must be met WITH an expiry date goes hot.
Similarly you say that you can get sellotape and wrapping paper. Do you think if the deal was worded as "Buy a £50 toy, get some wrapping paper" it would go hot? Do you honestly think a bit of wrapping paper and sellotape is worth the travel over buying from amazon?
This deal just is not that good.

Well it's a better deal than any you have posted in the last four and a half years, and as the saying goes 'every little helps'

Eurgh why do people take this route. It's such a childish response to a completely fair discussion point.
I like this site and use it tremendously and I will comment when I don't think the content is that great. That's not unreasonable. Your point is absolutely not relevant to mine.

fair enough but I just thought that as it is Xmas season that many purchases will be gifts so you wouldn't necessarily give the 'free' £5/10 voucher with the gift but the recipient could still return the gift - presumably at the full rate.
