All the advertising is is a screen saver, which is gone within 1 second when you have typed in your screen lock PIN. You really do need the screensaver because anyone with an unlocked Kindle Fire in their hands can spend money from your Amazon account.
I bet these would make a great remote for Sonos speakers

Picked up a couple of these last year @ same price for my niece and nephew and some bumper cases from ebay for a couple of quid. Such a great device built solid, fast perforamnce and really good if you want some silence. The parental controls and restrictions you can set for profiles are really good. The only thing i have to do every now and again is put a new game on they heard of.

are these any good for Facebook and their games, it's only for my old mum, basically a child really. doesn't do nothing else on a tablet, just prefers a tablet.

Heavy, thick and slow. Annoying ads and a truly terrible battery life. No SD card slot.
Nice res screen and now pretty cheap. Not sure if it is a great deal - but for some this will be a good deal.

I use them for my kids and they love them. They do drain quite badly though when not being used compared to an iPad. For a few kiddy games and things like that they work well

Got a 29 quid one as well, in white. Really good tablet for that price and great as a kids tablet. Was virtually perfect when it arrived, good old amazon warehouse!

Bought this as a present for someone one time and they got 'adult' adverts on it and never used it again  don't know where they came from, this person was not an internet user and there was nothing they had visited that would put mucky cookies on the device.

My kids have these and we've had our money's worth out of them, but the useable storage is nowhere near 16gb and the lack of an SD slot means you spend a lot of time managing the space. Putting your own films on these for viewing within the kids profiles is also a bit of a challenge.

The £29 ones are all 8GB, whilst this is the 16GB version.

Nope.
Got mine today and it's 16gb and I love it.
All my books on it.
All the CDs I've ever bought from amazon on it.
Show box, Mobdro and Kodi on it.
It's totally amazing for £30 get on it!

Thanks

No. You can get a USB to HDMI cable but it didn't work well for me.

I have recently bought a Kindle Fire 8 inch for £85. This comes with 16 Gb of internal memory that I have filled with 10 hours of BBC iPlayer programs and I fitted it with a £9 Samsung 32 Gb Samsung SD card that I already owned. My SD card is now also full with my music, free Kindle apps and 10 hours of Amazon Prime videos.
The 16 Gb 6 inch Fire HD has too little memory for me. I think that my faster 8 inch Kindle fire was well worth the extra £25.

with the 20% warehouse deal if you can snap up a £28 used one, this knocks an extra £5.60 off... bargain! There are still the odd few that appear every now and again
