Any chance of an image of the receipt so I can show my local homebase sales dude? They said they'd drop the price from £63 odd with proof of sale at a lower price. Thanks.

Ask them to ring up a branch that has them as a reduced price. Leicester were incredibly helpful and did this for me.Unfortunately when I was in the Newark branch the lady their refused to even acknowledge the possibility of them reducing the price. I didn't know at the time but they do have a price match policy so they should be willing to reduce their prices.

hey gnimage if your close try ringing Basingstoke to see what Stanley stuff they have. Andover and Winchester don't have much more than this but the Basingstoke one had sooooooo many toys... ahem.... tools.

there are two worx ones in the Andover store. one for 19 and one for 35. I spent time looking at you tube clips and reading reviews then got the stanley one.
Stanley pros... had a vent tube for dust and in action it has cleaner cuts than worx which did a rubbish cut through the wall in their own promo video. had a lot of parts... rated well. can fit Stanley or black and decker blades etc.
worx pros... much faster to cut than Stanley probably as it has more power. can fit ANY manufacturers blades etc.

Thanks, still £35 in Newark and the lady at the service desk said as it was already reduced they wouldn't reduce it any more.

I recommend the stanley over the worx. I bought the stanley, & worxs 350w for a friend. Stanley has much quicker bit change over (spring clamp rather that undo screw), and better accessories, and a better case
EDIT - and I bought stanley for £20, so they might go down if you're willing to risk the wait.

Wow. It's £35 in mine. Which branch did you see it in for £19?
