Amazon comments suggests it will not use generic inks.

I've got the Printer myself and I use clone cartridges all you get is a warning saying non Epson ink do you want to proceed and you just say yes

Depends where you buy them from and what the quality of the ink is like. I normally get 4 sets for around a tenner

Same price at Amazon if prime members want it tomorrow. Or a £1 digital credit.

I have the XP-305 version of this printer and I can't fault it, it works so good and the ink lasts ages and is cheap as chips.

Which inks is it E18?

I have a 235 and it wont accept non genuine inks and if colour run out it wont print black

It takes the Epson 29 Multipack Ink Cartridge according to the website

After having a quick look at compatibles online there looks to be some available but some advertise they are only compatible with printers produced between certain dates so you need to get the correct one. Don't know if its true though.

Can you write the link? I am interested in buying ink cartridges , i bought ones on ebay but the printer couldnt recognise them

Does anyone have this printer and able to confirm how it handles thicker paper/envelopes please? Just been put off another printer because it apparently can't handle anything thicker than regular paper...want to be able to print on photo paper, card, and the occasional envelope.
