Not a bad price at all, yes I know packs can be found cheaper at Poundland, but they only last .3 of a second.
Perfect for refilling the "Kids Toys" :stuck_out_tongue:

A note on Poundland batteries. Anything "heavy duty" or zinc based will be terrible. The ones where you get 12-20 batteries for a quid. Don't even bother. Usually Kodak, Sony or Panasonic in Poundland, and are the rubbish chunk at the bottom of the graph.
The Kodak Xtralife Alkaline batteries in packs of 6 from Poundland are actually really good. Pretty much the cheapest you'll find alkaline batteries. As good as any Duracell / Energizer alkaline battery, All alkalines are pretty much the same. the only ones that do better are the more expensive lithium ones.

Wonder if anyone has done more recent analysis - the chart is great but I wonder if it's getting a bit long in the tooth now. I know very little of the science behind all this though and it may indeed be possible that this chart is still relevant in 10 years.

Poundland 6 for £1 are beaten by Ikea 10 for £1.50 (may be £1.49). The readycell in HB are now 6 for £1, so Ikea are the best deal I have found.

The Ikea AA`s are £1.50 for 10, so cheaper & slightly better. But good if you can`t get to a Ikea
