I like to set this straight for everyone looking into this. Buying this was so confusing because there are 5 versions of Dyson V6: Absolute (pink), Clean (red), Fluffy (blue), Animal (purple) and Standard (White). I bought the V6 Absolute but I want to share my experience here to help you decide the right version for you.
The difference among the Dyson v6 versions:
Standard - has a 20w motorhead attachment, this is the weakest of the series and a crevice tool
Animal - same motorhead attachment as the standard. In addition it has a mini motorhead for pets
Fluffy - has all the above and one additional soft brush attachment specifically designed for bare / hardwood floors
Clean - has all the above but a more powerful 35w direct-drive cleaner head - which replaces the standard 20w motorhead.
Absolute - has the mini pet tool as above, a more powerful 50w direct-drive than the Cleaner, and oddly, a very plain / simple attachment with silicon wipes for hardwood floors instead of soft brush attachment. In addition it has a Hepa filter at the motor exhaust - this also makes it a little heavier. All this will make the battery work a lot harder than the lower end versions.

Not sure how this gained so little heat in comparison to the other dyson thread, which didn't have the extension tool, this one is much better at 169, wish i had see this :disappointed:

Yeah I had that one a few months ago before returning it to Dyson, it's an excellent vacuum but this is the price I paid months ago so not a good deal IMO! I called Dyson this morning and there Black Friday deals are terrible... Guy on the phone even told me the prices are higher than they were a few weeks ago on some lines such as the V8
My plan is to buy the cheapest possible V6 (some going for £129) and just use it for a year until the V8 comes down in price! And as for waiting for Black Friday, well that was a waste of time I won't make the mistake of doing again!
Edit: Also the fluffy hard wood attachment will not fit on the V6 Absolute! Sold separately anyway but if you was thinking of getting an Absolute and the hard wood tool separately for the total package think again! The V8 however works with every tool in its line and even comes with the hard wood tool, or so I'm told...
Thank you heat added!!
I got this dyson at the price of £148.98 delivered from Very with discount code.
I had to open a new credit account.

These are new models and very similar to the Dyson V6. Reviews are really good and with a 2 year guarantee you cant go wrong.

I am buying the new Vax cordless stick.Reviews are as good or even better than a Dyson. Argos have reduced the pet version to £95 in the Black Friday sale. I feel Dyson are for rich people or Super Chavs.I could well afford a Dyson if i wanted.

I bought a Vax U85B (or something) earlier this year when it was on offer from Amazon Warehouse ("as new"). Disappointed really. Good battery life and it came with two batteries (definitely an advantage over the Dyson IMO), BUT, I'm really disappointed with it. A part of the handle has now broken, and I'm really disappointed with the suction. It was ok for some things, but on the whole, it's left me wanting to get something different... Hence why I am here, looking at the V6 prices
Hope the new one has improved

Is there much difference between this and the absolute? I've tried my mum's absolute and preferred it over the older dyson she had but is it worth spending more?
