Costco tend to keep this information confidential, although I have seen items heavily discounted, only to appear again. This is a current model, as seen on Dyson's web page:
They do not give any product information over the phone anymore.

That may be your experience or understanding, however, I have called the Glasgow warehouse on countless occasions over the past 21 years since it opened and the staff will always tell you if an item is in stock and at what price. Very occasionally, they will ask for a membership number, however that is not the norm.

Not a showstopper at this bargain price, but be aware that the bin volume is only 0.8L, which is half of the 'standard' 1.6L bin size on (most) other Dyson uprights (e.g. DC40).

Update Watford have none, Chingford showing 3 but none in-store - the guy said possibly returns which are faulty. Croydon have 8 showing up on the system. Have not visited the store to confirm.
Costco are discontinuing this item hence it is so cheap.
You can get the DC40 animal which is reduced at around £215 in Costco.
