Just go to Clas Ohlson or IKEA and get 10 packs for £1.99. buying batteries on eBay is a mug's game, the stock is usually ancient and has already lost half its capacity by the time you open the packet...

According to the adverts, duracell batteries last longer and longer each year for the last 30 years, you'd think they'd last forever by now. In truth one alkaline battery is much like any other. 6 for £1 in poundland, never had any issues with them, or the 4 for 50p (normal price) ones in Wilkinsons. Don't get non alkaline ones though, unless for really low drain devices like remote controls, or a torch that rarely gets used.

Dont expect these to last long, we use them at work, rubbish in my opinion.

So why don't all batteries come with a rating so people can easily compare power, duration and hence value?
Rechargeable ones carry a mAh rating

£2.99 below, their ebay shop had them for 2.95 last night but all gone now, there are some good sellers on ebay or amazon, prices are normally around £3 but at this time of year......
Duracell industry batteries same as these are available from my memory £2.99 for ten or slightly cheaper on eBay. Make sure you by from a good seller though as batteries are on of the most faked items out there
