Was looking for some paint for renovating a few rooms, and found Wilko had some White paint on offer which was cheaper than ASDA, Tesco and B&Q.
Know this has been on offer before a couple of months ago and does come back on offer from time to time. Hope this helps someone on the look for some paint.
yeah should be fine if its already been painted on

If anyone is looking for a large amount of paint, Screwfix currently have Crown White Matt on at £25 for 2 x 10 litre buckets - so works out at around £6 for 5L.

I think his time of year you need a better paint as there aren't the daylight hours to get the extra number of coats you'll need to do with this paint. Still I bet it isn't as bad a Dulux light and Space paint. I'm 4 coats in and it's still not covered!

Still not found a paint that covers well without patches without doing 3-4 coats.
Tried Crown - might as well paint with water
Dulux - Trade - for the price expected to be better but not convinced.
Leyland - Contract - done the job for me this time painting over magnolia took 3 coats but looks nice and white. Screwfix deal £14.89 for 10 litres......
Anyone recommend a better paint that avoids wasting the whole weekend !! I don't know how professional decorators could possibly make a living.......

Its not cheap, but i just used a tin of fired earth paint to paint my flat walls and found that to cover really well, with 1 coat. http://www.firedearth.com/paint

Is this any good to use as touch up paint on a car. I've marked the car door where I bang it against other peoples cars in car parks when I get out. Its a white Ford Fiesta 1.4glx 2001 plate.

I used this paint recently and found it very disappointing. The coverage was so poor that it needed multiple coats and even then the finish was patchy. I then used Johnson’s matt emulsion and it was much better. Although the Johnson’s paint cost more for the same quantity it was less expensive overall because of the coverage.

Being Acrylic I take it its oil based? So does that discoulour over time? Once on the walls is there no going back to water based until the 'oil' in the paint has dissipated? Thanks.

Thanks for your reply.
It's a brand new house and new paint, am I okay then to apply the paint directly to the wall?

I've worked in the paint industry and you get what you pay for most of the time. I swear by Johnstones Acrylic Durable Matt, it's about 2-3 times more expensive but lasts far longer. Worth it in the long run.

Guys, these might sound silly but I've never painted a wall/ceiling before. Say for instance I go for this one, is there anything that needs adding to it before painting or it can get rolled to the wall straight from the tin?

straight from the tin if you haven't replastered your walls

Whats wrong with the 10 litre crown brilliant white for 13 pounds from
BnQ? Just bought 20 litres for white coverage on ceilings throughout the house, if I've missed a trick please enlighten me.
If it was any other colour i would have gone for trade paint but that's another story.

I find Dulux decent enough, not as good as the B&Q range (valspar?).

Good paint this is not. Took six coats to get coverage of a ceiling.
