Better buying the Advanced or Professional version of this drone as this one uses wifi, and will have limited range.

Is the standard a bad choice? i've been waiting for the prices to drop for weeks and was really close to buying but your comments are putting me off

Yes because the advanced and professional have unlimited range

Cheaper to buy range extenders than it is to buy the next model up

Totally agree with you. Also worth looking at the X-Star Premium. Uk shipment arrived a few weeks ago and not bad for £620 on eBay.

Yes its a good deal for people on a budget, and I've given you heat, Just pointing out to people that the Advanced or Pro is a better option and with topcashback brings the price down on them also.

don't forget you can use QUIDCO and they will now match any other UK based cash back site

...yes, I tried that but you can only claim once the purchase has tracked otherwise it will not show in the dropdown selection list...by the time its tracked its either over the 72 hour qualifying period or the other chashback sites offer has ended.

I'm tempted to get this. I ordered this drone last week from Maplin, it was £450 but they priced matched Argos who at the time was £429. I sent it back though as it is a Christmas present and was hoping for a lower price before Christmas. Argos have it advertised at £399 and 10% quidco but as usual they don't have any stock. I've never used a cashback site before and just signed up for Quidco and Topcashback. Just worried I won't get my cashback as I've never used it before lol. Can't see me getting it cheaper than this.

Had the 4 since April for survey stuff. I think the 3 has the same 4k video camera. https://youtu.be/metufFnxpzM

Yes, nearly everyone who has purchased a Standard regrets the choice and flogs them to upgrade, look on ebay you will see hundreds of 2nd hand standards for sale. The standard also suffers from a lot of interference due to the fact it uses wifi(homes use wifi), the Advanced and pro use Lightbridge

I should be saying sorry to you as I've quoted you by mistake,I was meant to quote Jimmyboy.

I was being sarcastic to the guy I quoted because he said the phantom 3 standard has a limited range. In other words they all have a limited range, just depends on what they are limited to.

Hopefully people saw the sarcasm in what I was saying.
