Bought one in August and put it in garden for pump and air pumps for fish ponds, no problem whatsoever. Have opened to checked and there was a drop of water got inside. Good price but not a good deal, price is permanent, not reduced in anyway, so no vote for me.

I fitted an ip54 rated socket / light switch.. the hinge is on top guess where the water got in :smiley: and blew the rcd..
IP66 all the way.

You do come up with some unusual deals pennyfarthing.
This is a good price, but it worries me slightly when I see a 4G socket with no flex attached inside a weatherproof box - most likely for use outside. Someone out there will connect it to an ordinary piece of cable or flex and plug in into a 13A socket with no fault protection.

I wouldn't get too hung up on IP ratings for these as providing you don't bury it in a garden pond or swimming pool I think you'll find it's perfectly fine for outdoor use.
