bought this a few months ago for £399 at Peter Tyson. Really good receiver. The only thing I don't really like is the way the volume increase and decrease steps are implemented in increments of .5
I preferred it on my Sony DN840 where it would be a lot faster at raising and lowering the volume. Overall though this Denon is a far better than many of them out there at this price point now. And its got mostly all the newest bells and whistles so no worrying about HDR. Atmos, Dts:x etc, no Dolby Vision but that's to be expected.

I looked into both, and chose this, every review I read in this receiver was very good, and they rave about it over on avformus

One thing I like about the Yamaha is the MusicCast. Does this have similar?

Great Receiver. Got mine full price but as my Sony 820 died 3 months before the 5 year RS warranty was up, RS gave me what I paid 5 years ago towards a new one. So cost me £315 (with the extended no brainer warranty of course).
Difference between the Denon and Sony 820 is night and day. Punchy, dynamic and the surround processing of DD surround and especially DTS Neural is very impressive. I'm using front highs as the .2.
Highly recommended!! Heat at this price...

wasn't something I was interested in so didn't really research it, but I don't think the denon will output wireless audio signal to other devices no. I'll just use airplay for that type of thing.

Cool. Going to pass on it for now then... Will buy when I have a tad more money.
This is a great deal bought last night from richer sounds once they matched sevenoaks price. There's some great reductions on other receivers and speakers at a few of the audio visual shops.

Is there much difference between this and the 2200w?

Would this be much of an upgrade (sound wise) over an onkyo 606?
