It's terrible. Your character auto moves. You just switch lanes and mash a button.

I quite liked Dying Light. Is it worthwhile to play Dead Island or is it too similar?

Dead island is a lot slower compare to Dying Light.
Weapons break a lot quicker, (can be annoying at times). It's an alright game. Was better on pc where you'd change gun settings so they'd do more damage and can be used on the undead.
I've not played rip tide myself. But the original was decent but Dying light is much better.

Its great, its a large open game not quite as big as the city but its basically a hotel on an island full of zombies great game

I wouldn't call it similar, apart from being first person and a zombie smasher. Dying light is much better, but this is a good game if you haven't played dying light at all. That's my opinion after playing both games to the end.
