If you want people to take your comments seriously you need to give some more details or reasons. Cybergost is terrible because....when i tired airvpn however....comments like this are more helpful for other users.

Is this a good deal considering only one device?

Depends what that "one" device does. Be inventive, if that "one" device is a NAT router then you're not restricted to a single client passing through the router...
You can even stack this subscription, I bought a renew to kick in on 17/12/2016 a few weeks ago for £20, on a renew special, taking subscription up to 17/12/2017. I just added this at £13.50 and subscription now up to 17/12/2018 - 2 yrs for £33.50, less than the price of one....

Ok so I'm looking to get a new laptop before Christmas but I want to know if I buy this and install on my current laptop does this mean that I can't use the cyber ghost on the new laptop because it can only used on one device?

I tried CyberGhost last year on one of these deals. It has been terrible. I moved to airvpn and haven't looked back.

You can use it on what device you want. You just have to remove the current device from My Account - My Devices. Then you are good to go. You can do this each time you want to change device. It's simple and convenient even if you cannot use on more devices simultaneously, this will do for me.

Thank you for your guidance. It is appreciated. This internet think confuses me so much.
Basically for me, CyberGhost was slow, so very slow. To be fair though it was only slow when it actually connected, which would have been at the most 10% of the time. Then most of those times it would randomly disconnect.
Airvpn has not missed a beat. Ever. Fast and reliable connection.
However having read into even more since this morning I am now considering blackvpn which is located in Hong Kong so not susceptible to the same snooping as an American run VPN.

It's a bit of a pain signing in and out - I had hoped I could sign in on more than one device but only have one LIVE connection, and you can't. I like CyberGhost (got it in the Humble Bundle deal) - I've noticed every so often there is a blip and can't access some sites (just disconnect and it works). If you missed the Humble Bundle deal I can wholly recommend this VPN and the customer service is also very good.

Wasn't aware you could add this to an existing sub, turns out you can, result!
I found the free version very hit and miss, not connecting and disconnecting. Upgraded to the premium version and never looked back, well worth it.

Why do you have to enter your name and postcode on the CyberGhost subscription page? Defeats the purpose of anonymous to me.

Just pay with bitcoins

Regardless of your method of payment, the signup page asks for your first and last name, and your postcode. Are these really required? I don't see a bitcoin option (not that I'd know how to do that anyway).

A VPN is a must have now that those nosey tories passed the Snooper's Charter and will be sifting through our browsing data.
I wonder how does it compare to PIA? Had a subscription with PIA for a long time.

and therein lies the problem. You don't have to be "up to" anything to value a bit of privacy.

I had no issues with Cyberghost when I tried it, however I found it a right pain in the a$$ to only be allowed to have one device connected at a time. Logging in and out to free up a slot became a right pain. I don't think they have a discount on the multi device packages though :disappointed:

The point is that they keep no logs (or at least that's what they claim). So even if the old bill turns up at their door and says, "who was this connection at this time and date allocated to?" they can't help because there's no log record. So having your name, address, etc. is irrelevant.

Does it add automatically to your existing subscription or do you have to do anything extra to do that? I ask because usually the subscription starts from the date of purchase (i.e. immediately).

Make sure you are signed in to your account and it will add the extra twelve months to your existing subscription.

I was wondering the same. The whole idea of giving cheaper subscription is trying to lure you into auto resubscription for full price once the year passed.
Anyone tried to cancel it or does it deactivate the account completely?
deanoaky
27 Nov 16#36
Straight away you can turn off the auto subscription. I did the same earlier in the year.
stonebear
27 Nov 16#37
The only relevant sounding option I can see is "cancel subscription" and I am wary of pressing that in case it cancels the Premium account I just paid for, is that the one? I can't see anything that sounds like "turn off auto subscription".

I think you might be better off removing the authorization within your paypal account that allows cleverbridge to take future funds.

Sorry, that's the option I selected. The next billing date will disappear. I have just extended mine now.
