I posted this MX300 525GB SSD deal a few weeks ago for 105 quid, now it's 20 quid cheaper at 98.60 euro (inc P&P to UK) working out at 84 quid sterling if you get the real exchange rate (Revolut card!)
Didn't really need another SSD, but feck it, 525GB for 93 euro..!
One of the amazon.es Black Friday deals is this Crucial MX300 525GB SSD for 93.90 euro, which works out at around 80 quid + shipping.
For the money it's a decent enough SSD.
Cnet say "affordable, efficient and fast".

Normally you can get better value than Crucial but at this price it's worth considering. I would probably be tempted if I didn't already have four SSDs in my desktop and another two in laptops.

No, normally you can get better value than Crucial SSDs as their performance isn't up to the standard of other similarly priced SSDs. In this case though the low price means it's a better deal than you can normally get and thus potentially worth taking over an Integral or other better performing drives.

Your maths is the wrong way round mate.
750GB is cheaper per GB.
£105/750GB =~£0.14 per GB.
£87/525GB =~£0.167 per GB.
Still a good deal for 525GB in my opinion.

This cannot be said enough. In most everyday situations a cheaper drive will do just as well. Evos certainly have their place - I use them myself for my photo/video editing computer - but for most people without higher end needs pretty much any current SSD is going to be a huge improvement over a mechanical drive.

The trick is to always decline Amazon's offer to do the Euro to Sterling conversion for you as they take a huge chunk in commission, and generally much more than your credit card would take for doing the exchange themselves.
And if you use a Revolut card or something similar you will get nearly market-rate exchange rates. No affiliation, just a happy user - it has saved me gazoodles.

I know they are different sizes but performance is about the same for sata 3 ssds atm. if you want faster you need to move to the m2 and nvme standard.

Today took out my old M4 128GB Crucial (still working perfect) and replaced it with the MX300
