mmm for only "browsing" and using office tools... probably in 8-10 years. I reckon RAM requirements double about every 4-5 years and most PCs nowadays need 8gb if you have a browser with 10-20 tabs open, some office tools, spotify, skype, dropbox, antivirus and what not.

This will work perfectly. The faster RAM will cost more and give you almost no benefit at all unless you to do some serious overclocking.

It's a DIMM, sorry for the confusion. Part of the description in amazon is wrong and refers to a SODIMM. I can confirm that it's a normal DIMM as I bought this a month ago.
