Genuine Rii with UK layout, LED backlit, and battery lasts a long time. The seller I bought from no longer on ebay, but is similar to this one on Amazon. Note the backlight button just below the play button.

I got one which seems to be the same as the Rii8 keyboard (lights with Fn+F2 red/blue/green unlike the one I have which lights white when you switch it on automatically) £8.29 now, less than I bought it for, also Best Offer, not sure how much they'd take though. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291879748366

Arrived yesterday and tried using it with Fire TV and PS4. I cant get the touchpad to work on either. Doesn't look like its backlit either despite what it says on the manual.
Anybody else having problems with the touchpad?

It is switching on now.. maybe the battery was just too flat on arrival.

Will this keyboad work with a Smart TV?
uni
24 Nov 16#61
it's basically a wireless keyboard and mouse that works with a USB dongle that you plug into the USB port on your android device. it's dead simple to use and I've given boxes and similar keyboards to a few people who aren't tech savvy, but I set them up in advance so they were plug in and play. no need to install drivers or anything. obviously you need a device with a USB socket otherwise you may need to use a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse instead
WalkerboyUK
24 Nov 16#60
There's a USB dongle in the battery compartment. Take that out, slot into the Android box and then away you go.

If you get the one as pictured then no backlight. Maybe someone who has received one from here could confirm if it has backlight.
The backlight on these have a dedicated button (below the play button on Rii's, or using Fn+F6 on clones).
Great price for a UK based product, no waiting around for delivery. Nice find. These little keyboards are cheap but very useful and versatile.

I've had about 10 of these & they can be a "hit n miss".

Anyone know if these work with a Raspberry Pi (version 3)?
giltbrook to Dodge62
23 Nov 16#24
I have a similar version that works with Raspberry Pi 2, so I would think so.
The one thing I did find odd with these is that if you want to use the right click button, you have to use the tracker pad to position the cursor, if you use the arrow keys instead, the right click button does not work. This was also the case with one of the other buttons but I can't remember which.

Should be okay to use where passwords, credit card numbers, etc aren't being entered. e.g. Kodi, etc.
Had a Rii Mini N7 which was quite a bit better but died after a year of use, still missed stroke though.
Just ordered a Logitech K400 which is full qwerty, hopefully thats a bit easier to use.
