I'm a bit hacked off with Amazon, I ordered a week ago, when they were confirmed as in stock, yet they still havent shipped it, and the delivery estimate is now another week!!

This has happened with several Amazon orders over the last week (but not all of them); I have had some of the stuff I ordered from China on the same day already arrive!!

not sure if these are good investment compare to my 10year+ xigmatek dark knight which never ever failed me. I've seen people splashing 100quid on aio but they can fail and then you have to pay and wait for rma etc. then these things will eventually die such as liquid evaporates or pump stop working.

That's a good price. I just fitted the Cooler Master Seidon 120V (£39.99 Maplin) which is the equivalent of this Corsair. My i7 4770 now idles at around 25°C. I do a lot of 3D CGI rendering and with the stock fan the temperatures would quickly climb to 98°C at 100% load. 3D renders can take 24 hours or more so water cooling was the solution. With the Cooler Master I only reach 55°C now at 100% load.

They do replace it with brand new ones from my expirience i started of with a h60 which after 2/3 years the radiator lost thread(kinda my fault since i changed pc case so often so i had to unscrew and screw it again) emailed corsair for rma and they sent me a brand new one :smile:

Cool thanks for letting me know. But in your experience or knowledge, do they re-imburse or replace all the parts that do get damaged IF there is a leak?
I am also thinking that this might be overkill as I dont do gaming but I do overclock a lil just to get the best out of the hardware. I mainly do a lot of multitasking and have several apps running in background all day. I also do like a silent machine so that is partly why I was thinking of getting one.

'This looks like a good deal and I am looking for a cooler for my new build but been told to avoid water coolers due to leaks. I have read reviews on this cooler tho and seems good but can't find any confirmation of the replacement of hardware if it does leak on corsairs website. All I found out was that it comes with a 5 year warranty.
Also after 5 years your warranty is up and it does leak, then what? your done in and have to get a new machine.

hmmm Im thinking I could just go with normal fan air cooler and not have to worry about leaks or having to do any checks on the pipes.

The thing with air cooling like noctua dh14's is they fill your case and they look so cool when you have a massive window.

Yeah some are extremely quiet and practically silent but then other times the noise can be really noticeable and annoying. All depends on what you're sensitive to really; certain noises annoy certain people more than others. The worst part is you have to buy one to find out as reviews generally only give dB and that's not the whole story. Also certain pumps can be noisy on an otherwise quiet line of coolers... it's a minefield lol

That's true although I honestly can't hear mine unless I put my ear to the case.

Pump noise is the trade off though :P

Air cooler can be truly silent

I had a similar cooler but they are massive.
I much prefer the clean look AIO's provide. Definitely worth the trade off when you factor in the idle temps and tjmax of cpus.

I've had the evo 12, noctua dh14, h60 and currently using h110. i love them all but noctua had the lowest temp compare to all them :smile:

This h45 beat any air cooler at this price point though :smile:

Hopefully an expert can help - I have a socket 1155 board with an i5-3570k and I'm going to soon upgrade my tower to a Thermaltake Level 10. Is this going to fit? I need a new cooler anyway and this looks to be a good price.
